Bitcoin is a bearer instrument.
He who holds the keys bears the instrument, e.g., not your keys, not your Bitcoin.
Best keep those keys safe anon. 😎
At MicroSeed, we believe it is better to have and not need than need and not have.
You might never need to smuggle your seed phrase while under intense physical scrutiny.
But, with MicroSeed you have the option.
Bitcoin’s Lightning Network lets you send BTC instantly for pennies.
It’s great for txns, but software wallets aren't for keeping large amounts of Bitcoin.
Self-custody in cold storage is the way to do that job.
Satoshi didn't know that miners & nodes would be separate.
ASICs, economies of scale & Bitcoin's price changed that. Today, non-mining nodes validate transactions & enforce consensus rules.
Bitcoin won't work without them. Run a node.
Safely storing your Bitcoin seed phrase is a baseline security measure.
Protecting it from unwanted access and environmental destruction are cornerstones.
MicroSeed helps you do both. 24-words, one titanium washer, unlimited options.

What an incredible new collection by @yonatvaks 🔥
If you have to choose between buying a MicroSeed to store your seed phrase or running a Bitcoin node, PLEASE run a node.
There are a ton of ways to reliably back up your seed phrase.
Running a node defends the most important economic shift in human history.
Self-custody is self-sovereignty.
Bitcoin is property you can own, but can't be taken from you.
It's really easy to take if someone else holds the keys.

Satoshi shared a draft of the Bitcoin whitepaper with cypherpunks in 2008, months before its official release.
Sometimes it's good to remember what those cypherpunks were all about👇
Don't trust, verify. It's not a platitude. It means exactly what it says.
Bitcoin is a zero-trust, egalitarian access network. That's a big reason why it's so cool.
Stack some sats and touch some grass.
With MicroSeed, you can safely store your seed phrase anywhere a 1" washer can go.
Pro tip: If you bolt it to something big, like in the back of your stove, it will also be easy to find if your house burns down.
Also, we hope your house doesn't burn down. 🧡

Over the past two days, we released new versions of StartOS, StartTunnel and 100+ services to patch the security issues from eMudhra, PHP, and Node.js and others.
We recommend updating ASAP.
This is an outstanding walk-through of Reinhold's Diceware scheme applied to Bitcoin passphrases.
With all things entropy, the details matter, and Joe does a great job making those details clear.

A Bitcoin passphrase can be easy for an attacker to guess and a nightmare for its owner to recover. That is a terrible trade. I filmed my approach: physical dice, the @EFF wordlist, fixed formatting, @SeedSigner, @SparrowWallet, @MicroSeed_io and a proper recovery drill.
"Don't know what you got, til it's gone..."
Please don't let a cheesy Cinderella song from the 80s become the new Bitcoin anthem.
Run a node.
Minimize risk of loss & maximize safe recovery. That's seed phrase back-up 101. Ideally, your backup will:
1. Resist environmental damage (fire, flood, crush)
2. Be easy to hide and/or obscure, and
3. Be easy to make multiple backups

A 12-word seed phrase offers 2^128 combinations—more than atoms in the universe!
MicroSeed lets you engrave this power in steel or titanium the size of a quarter.
Pretty dope, right?
We promote and encourage everyone to run a node and take self-custody of their Bitcoin.
That's the MicroSeed mission statement. Full stop.
Don't trust, verify.
Words to live by, especially if you're a Bitcoiner. Yet many still trust exchanges to hold their precious sats.
Self-custody is taking sovereign ownership of property that can't be taken from you, only given up.
It's kind of a big deal king 👑
