You can’t spell Poop without “P”. The universe has a plan.

I've also been very much enjoying using Noax's shaders and tech greebles lately. teapawt.net/noaxdesign/status/2036…
Some renders with my Blender shaderpack for Cycles! This been a very fun project putting these together. Specifically designed to give you a really nice worn look. Check them out here if you are interested! principalforms.com/hardshell…

Also blender's rigid body system seems WAY more stable than it was years ago! In the entire time I was making this video, I don't think the physics crashed once? Did it get a big update??

I enjoy that the alien planet in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is literally just Seattle (Groot is looking at My Grandma's House)

Apparently it's because the VFX supervisor filmed some plates there at some point?

Assembly file render for the "Cymatic Temple" scans of my friend Mark. Sometimes it's fun to have a placeholder scene to dump cleaned scans into when I have to do a lot of them.

And the IK rig for Luka here- the animation is driven from a rotating empty (though apparently the mallet is typically rubbed on the outside of the bowl?? eh it's a space bowl.)

Luka's also playing against Julian here, animated with a Rokoko suit. Not the greatest scans, but it's fun to be able to quickly make these little background vignettes.

From another unfinished scene. I think this was the first time I used the RBC physics addon? I liked the idea that the vehicles could have a tight ceiling clearance.

From an unfinished scene- I did like this stage design. Everyone on set filmed the scene with their phones then I synced/stabilized/cropped it for the multi-camera security deal; it worked pretty well!

The whole point was that he was in the yellow debriefing cube on stage, cause that was a much easier practical set build :P

I've been kinda sitting on The Boat Episode for like a year now and I think it's because it just feels really good to have something Almost Finished. Wrapping it up!!

I chased some ferries around with a drone for an afternoon for the boat wake texture- I’d still love to grab some from a single engine fishing boat some day.

Also if you haven't played with Blender's updated array modifier's "Circle" option- it is EXCEPTIONALLY USEFUL!

Here's the before of the second shot; I've been very much enjoying having an actual vehicle to line everything up with.
