Today we are showing you what we built with Muse: GradFetch, live at gradfetch.com.
It started with 30 minutes in a cyber cafe.
I had always been drawn to computers from a very young age, though I never had the chance to own or operate one.
One evening, my brother Alex and I were sent on an errand. On the way, I came across a cyber cafe. I told my brother we needed to go inside, just to look at the computers and get a feel for them. When I walked in, everything felt calm, like I was in a different world. I ran out of the place and straight home.
When I got home, I told my mother what I had seen, and that I needed money to buy time to use a computer. She asked how much it cost. I told her, and to my surprise, she gave me the amount for a full two hours. I declined. It was too much, because I had no idea how computers worked, and I did not want to waste money. I asked her to give me money for 30 minutes instead, which she did, and I went back to the cafe.
When I got there, I paid for the time and sat in front of the computer screen, looking clueless. I called the attendant and asked him to show me how to type in "www", and I asked him where the "." sign is. After that, the rest is history.
My mother could have easily said she could not afford the money, because of our situation. Instead, she gave me the money, because she knew that knowledge is power.
I started GradFetch because there is currently a huge gap in the way people apply to grad school. A lot of people pay huge amounts of money to get the right information on where, how, and when to apply, and there are many sites out there that charge a lot for information that should be free. I want everyone applying to grad school to not feel overwhelmed by the process, or to have to open a different tab for each school, when they can search, curate, and apply in one place.
Other sites charge thousands for information that should be free. GradFetch is free.
Today GradFetch holds 200 verified schools and 27,119 programs, with deadline tracking and professor matching in one place.
We built GradFetch with Muse. Muse made building it much easier.
The site took inspiration from the national design studio, @ndstudio, and I also want to thank the leadership team for their ideas.
I cannot say all this without thanking Alexandr Wang, @alexandr_wang, for all he has done for me and for everyone who uses Muse on a daily basis.
I also want to thank Matt Schlicht, @MattPRD, for being the first person who engaged with the account on the very first day I made it. I will never forget it.
Finally, I want to thank the entire @Muse team for always supporting us and helping with any issues that arise.
I love you all, and I am glad to be able to do this with Musecases.
Start with your program: search it at gradfetch.com and save it.
She rocked her baby to sleep while Muse called the bakery for her. White vanilla cake, eight inch round, pickup Tuesday between eight and nine. That is an errand done without putting the baby down.

He handed Muse a spare phone, and Muse took over the screen, woke it, and checked its battery. Now he wants it to watch anime for him and report back. That is an agent moving from chat to hands.

One message turned off the Apple TV and the living room light. Muse talked to Home Assistant and the whole room listened. That is a home that actually follows instructions

He hired Muse to file a small claims case. The company settled 20 minutes after it got the papers. He got paid in ten days, with extra for recovery costs. The court accepted the dismissal yesterday. A legal fight most people avoid turned into a closed case.

UPDATE: I hired @Muse to sue someone on my behalf.
I won. Well, they caved.
Within 20 minutes of being served papers, the company offered a settlement.
Within ten days, they paid me *with additional compensation* for recovery expenses.
@Muse filed the motion to dismiss, which the court accepted yesterday.
To everyone who said I would fail, respectfully, you were wrong.
One Muse user found $1,750 in unclaimed property for his father-in-law in Florida. Money the family did not know existed, sitting with the state.
Bookmark this.
Search every state I have lived in for unclaimed property under my name and every past address. For each match, tell me what it is, who holds it, and how much it is worth, then walk me through filing the claim. Check your name too. The state may already be holding money for you.
Three people, three different jobs, one shared result. Each one handed Muse the repetitive part of the work and got their time back. The realtor story is the one that shows the math best.
Four friends could not agree on a Hawaii plan. One of them handed the whole group chat to an agent and got back a trip everyone liked. That is the part worth reading.

Four friends, one trip, zero group-chat chaos. He named his agent Sprinz Jr and let it plan Hawaii. Send this to one person who always ends up planning the trip. View article
Running a giveaway means picking winners fairly and making the announcement look good. Muse drew the winners with the picker and made the graphic. The admin disappeared.

A $330 estimate in an email is the kind of bill most people just pay. He had Muse research it and draft the reply, the clinic rechecked with insurance, and his share dropped to $0. The reply did the work.
Muse just works 🔥
My late entry into the @Muse #musemoneychallenge. Muse just saved me $330.
I have a colonoscopy coming up, and the doctor's office emailed me an estimate for $330 for my portion of the procedure.
I had Muse research and come up with a response, which it did brilliantly.
I just heard back from the doctor's office that they conferred with my insurance and renegotiated everything down to $0.
An idea in chat, seven clips out. Character sheet, overlay, splices, smoothed audio, transitions. He did not open a video tool at all.

@Muse is actually pretty damn good at directing. I asked muse to make gamer girl streaming video.
we made a character sheet, printed 7x 10 second clips, added an overlay, spliced them together, smoothed the audio and added transitions. lol

One pair left online, and a drive he did not want to waste. Muse called to confirm before he left, and he picked them up. That one call is the whole use case

My Ai assistant found the last pair of all-black On Cloudmonster 3s at the nearest Dick's Sporting Goods — only one left in stock online — so @Muse called to confirm before I drove down there. Just picked them up. 👟
