For #NationalEmployOlderWorkersWeek, NAPCA interviewed Rick Takeuchi, Deputy Director of Kawabe Memorial House, one of NAPCA's SCSEP project sites. As a site supervisor, Takeuchi manages SCSEP participants placed at Kawabe Memorial House, like former enrollees Mr. and Ms. Wu.
In this interview, Takeuchi talks about Mr. and Ms. Wu's journeys from SCSEP enrollees to part-time employees, the qualities older workers bring to the table, and the benefits of job training programs like SCSEP.
