This reminds me of when I was designated "dorm leader" in jail. I hated that term.
So I drew a stick man on on opened paper portion cup, and stuck it on the wall above the phones and joked that this was our dorm leader.
Our dorm was turned into a collective. I was simply the liaison between our dorm mates and the guards, which is one of the jobs of a so-called dorm leader.
We made decisions together. No one got bounced until we talked about the impacts that person was having on the dorm amd what impacts bou.cing would have on the person in question. We talked about ways to help modify their behaviour and giving them chances. Most of the time that worked.
Anyway, trust me when I say there was order in our dorm.
They called me dorm mom instead and I thought that was beautiful.

21 years after my heart attack my annual cardiac stress test shows a heart stable from daily exercise and a sensible diet. I walk a minimum of 8km a day for my heart, my lungs that are diseased and rectal cancer that came for me in 2020 but I fought off.
