Command isn’t as sexy as stuff, but it is essential to your success. If you can’t throw strikes, you will NOT pitch.

Sometimes you have to look yourself in the mirror as a coach. Is the player getting better or not? In order to know this, you have to track progress. If the answer is often no, something has to change. Objective feedback isn’t just valuable for the player, it’s also valuable for the coach.

A simple way to make your pitch design sessions better: Put a dummy in the box on the side you are primarily designing the pitch for. Example: RHP developing a sweeper will primarily use it against RHH. Therefore, put a RHH in the box to get used to the visual, starting point, etc.
