🌐 The Bureau of the OACPS Parliamentary Assembly held its fifth meeting in Brussels on 7 November 2026, chaired by Hon. Thomas Tayebwa🇺🇬 (@Thomas_Tayebwa) of Uganda, President of the Assembly, and in the presence of H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki (@MBatraki), Secretary-General of the OACPS. Discussions focused on the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure and proposals to establish three working groups on development financing, oceans and critical raw materials. 🌐🇨🇺 As part of his official visit to Cuba, the Secretary-General of the OACPS, H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki (@MBatraki), had the opportunity to visit several institutions that exemplify Cuban expertise in scientific research, medicine and training. Three leading institutions were visited: • The Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) (@CIGBCuba), recognised for its advances in biomedical research and the development of vaccines and medicines. • The Fructuoso Rodríguez Orthopaedic Teaching Hospital, which specialises in orthopaedic care, training and research. • The Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) (@elam_oficial), which welcomes and trains students from many countries, including OACPS Member States.
