Why do some of today's famous female singers feel the need to perform like dancers or item girls rather than letting their singing do the talking? We grew up listening to legends like Lata Mangeshkar ji, Asha Bhosle ji and many other great female singers. Their voices, grace, expressions and musical excellence were enough to mesmerise millions. They didn't need provocative outfits or exaggerated dance moves to command a stage. A concert should be about celebrating music, not turning every performance into a visual spectacle. There's nothing wrong with fashion, glamour or dancing, but why is vocal talent increasingly taking a backseat to stage theatrics? A legendary voice doesn't need a dance routine to prove its worth.
