I have finally found the most beautiful computer. New old stock from 1980. Never been turned on.
RE-PC in Seattle has a really cool little vintage computer museum.
My favorite item is the typewriter used as input for the IMSAI 8080.
The gift shop of the Chihuly museum in Seattle has an amazing collection of Chihuly’s vintage televisions.
I asked, but they are not for sale.

Séance may be the first NES game in history with an AI language model inside
A tiny neural network (400K params) runs on the NES's own 6502 and writes every word the spirit says. No Internet. Works on a real console!

I removed the brown material from one of these years ago, not realizing it was a super rare special edition JLPGA. Whoops!
You have to admit it's ugly as hell though. I think I did the computer a favor.

GPUs are basically the new oil at this point
AI’s growth is creating demand for new financial markets.
Derivatives tied to GPU rental costs will end up helping businesses hedge the cost of computing power.
As AI spending scales, markets for managing those costs will become a HUGE part of the financial picture.

I made some enhancements to the Tower of Retrocomputing Power! Let's talk about them, in a brief 🧵 here!
I found this Alesis keyboard leaning against a tree on trash day.
The US is the richest country in the world, and we dump billions into the trash.
Find some trash, dust it off, re-sell it, and you can make a good living.
I've lived off "trash" professionally for 20 years.
