I asked a simple yes-or-no question: is it wrong for politicians to profit off public deals? The Trump officials at the table couldn't answer. Taxpayers shouldn't be footing the bill to make any politician richer.

The scariest thing this Halloween? The higher prices you’re paying because of Trump’s tariffs and war in Iran.

This month and every month, I’m standing with survivors of domestic violence as we work toward a future free from violence, fear, and abuse. That’s why I’ve cosponsored a resolution recognizing October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Everyone deserves to feel safe.

The Maryland Museum of Natural Sciences in Overlea is officially recognized as Maryland’s state Natural History Museum! This long-awaited designation gives the museum greater credibility to grow its collections and inspire future generations. I was proud to support this effort as Baltimore County Executive. Special thanks to Senator Carl Jackson & @BaltCoExec for working on the legislation to make this possible!

Grateful to spend this past Sunday morning with the congregation at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Catonsville! Reverend Tracy Howe delivered a powerful sermon on liberation as the church celebrated 160 years of faith and service. Thank you for the warm welcome and for being part of our #MD02 community!

The price on the shelf should be the price you pay at the register. 🛒 That’s why I joined an effort urging the FTC to investigate retailers that mislead consumers by charging more at checkout than the price displayed on the shelf. You deserve transparency and accountability.

Wow! More than 50 students were interviewed today for my #MD02 service academy nomination! I’m grateful to the panel of six service academy graduates who volunteered their time to interview these candidates and help select the next generation of service members. Thank you to all the outstanding Marylanders who applied. 🇺🇸

Justice Kagan, a sitting Supreme Court justice, is sounding the alarm about rulings that threaten our democracy. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and no justice should hold a seat on the nation’s highest court for life. That’s why I introduced the ROBE Act to establish 18-year term limits for Supreme Court justices and restore accountability and balance to the Court.

More than $3 million back in Marylanders’ pockets! 💰 My team and I have helped constituents across #MD02 recover money they’re owed, from veterans’ disability benefits and Social Security payments to tax refunds and more. If you’re having trouble with a federal agency, we can help: olszewski.house.gov/services…

Americans are frustrated that Congress won’t act on issues with overwhelming public support. That’s why I introduced my Direct Democracy Constitutional Amendment, which would give Americans the power to pass or repeal federal laws at the ballot box. 🗳️ @fox5dc

As a former public school teacher, I know libraries open doors to opportunity. Great to join @ChrisVanHollen in Essex to celebrate the $2 million in federal funding we secured for the new @bcplinfo branch! Proud to have laid the groundwork for this project as County Executive and excited for what’s ahead. 📚

I never expected Congress to be this dysfunctional. Congress can't even deliver on issues with overwhelming public support, like banning insider stock trading. In my second term, I'll keep fighting Trump’s corruption and working to make life more affordable. @DanRodricks

Expanding job pathways is critical for Marylanders. I was proud to work with @Sen_Alsobrooks and @ChrisVanHollen to secure $850K in federal funding for @CarrollCC’s new Ratcliffe Applied Technology and Trades Center. This investment will train students for in-demand jobs and help local businesses find the skilled workers they need to grow.

Congress should do its job. But when gridlock and special interests keep broadly supported ideas from becoming law, the American people deserve another way forward. My Direct Democracy Amendment would give voters the power to propose new laws or repeal existing ones. @politico

Democracy works best when people have a meaningful voice in their government. At a time when partisanship and special-interest influence slow progress, my Direct Democracy Amendment would give American voters the power to pass or repeal federal laws when Congress fails to act on issues with broad public support.
