Today I had the honor of presiding over the House Floor, made even more special with my wonderful wife, Kaylie, and our daughter Brooke watching from the gallery. Representing hardworking Suffolk County families is the privilege of a lifetime, and I'm proud to make sure their voices are heard in Washington.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I'm proud to cosponsor the Find It Early Act to eliminate out-of-pocket costs for additional breast cancer screenings, including for women with dense breasts or a family history of the disease. No woman should have to choose between her financial security and her health.

It takes a special kind of evil to vandalize the 9/11 Memorial. Ground Zero is sacred ground. A place for grieving families to find peace, not a stage for political spectacle. Thank you to the Law Enforcement personnel who moved quickly to apprehend this scum.

I brought home more community project funding in FY26 than 23 of New York’s 25 other House members, with much of it dedicated to protecting Long Island’s water quality.

Every generation deserves the opportunity to build a brighter future than the last. That’s why I’m proud to have supported the Working Families Tax Cuts, which created Trump Accounts to help the next generation of Americans build wealth and financial security. Eligible American children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, can receive a one-time $1,000 federal contribution to jump-start their savings. With an additional $1,000 contributed annually and an assumed 4% annual return, that investment could grow to approximately $44,000 by age 25, a meaningful head start toward a down payment on a first home. When all hope seemed lost, four Coast Guardsmen on Long Island answered the call, rushing to save off-duty Suffolk County Police Officer Nicholas Franco. No hesitation. Just extraordinary courage, quick thinking, and decisive action that made the difference between life and death. Bravo Zulu to Emileigh Pause, Michael Heller, Quinn Figlo, and Aidric Canada. Your courage exemplifies the very best of American service. 🇺🇸⚓

Today, on National First Responders Day, we honor the brave men and women who answer the call, no matter the hour or the danger. As the son and grandson of police officers, I know that a life devoted to protecting others asks much of those who serve, and of those who love them. From the extraordinary heroism of 9/11 to the everyday acts of courage in our communities, their example reminds us what it means to serve. On Long Island and across our nation, we thank our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and all those who put the lives of others before their own. We will always stand with you. 🇺🇸

Proud to join the Navy League Long Island Council for its annual Recognition Dinner. For decades, this outstanding organization has supported our sea services, strengthened Long Island’s defense community, and inspired future maritime leaders. As we celebrate 251 years of the United States Navy, we honor generations of Sailors whose courage and sacrifice have safeguarded our freedom. America is the greatest nation in the world, in no small part because of the greatest Navy in the world. Congratulations to Jack Nugent on his well-deserved recognition! Fair winds and following seas! 🇺🇸⚓

No surprise here. Hochul continues to play politics while Long Island families are left paying the price. Under America's worst governor, New Yorkers face higher taxes, soaring utility bills, bare-minimum fraud oversight, and political posturing at the expense of public safety. New Yorkers deserve more from their elected officials.

The future of our country belongs to the next generation, and few investments are more important than preparing young Americans to lead. I recently enjoyed joining students and educators at Longwood High School for Legislative Day, where we discussed public service, civic responsibility, and the importance of making your voice heard. The students asked such thoughtful and challenging questions, I might just have to count this as another town hall! As a father of three daughters, I believe we have a responsibility to leave the next generation a stronger Long Island and a brighter America. 🇺🇸

$2.4 billion. That’s what Governor Kathy Hochul’s FY2025 budget allocated to migrant health care, hotels, and legal services. Those taxpayer dollars could instead have supported classrooms, infrastructure improvements, and tax relief for hardworking New York families. Every dollar in Albany’s budget reflects a choice about priorities. Governor Hochul’s budget makes hers clear.

I'm proud to support new federal funding for critical upgrades at Northport VA Medical Center, including funding for temporary boilers, to modernize elevators, and replace steam lines. It's a part of a record $4.8 billion nationwide VA investment, these improvements will help ensure Long Island Veterans receive the safe, reliable, high quality care they have earned. They served our nation with honor. We must honor their service with action.

While the waterfront view from our office may be fake, the results we deliver for Long Islanders are very real. My dedicated constituent services team has closed more than 6,300 cases and helped recover over $18.8 million owed to constituents. Their work may not make headlines, but it makes a world of difference for the people we serve. I’m proud of their dedication to making government work for Long Islanders!

I’m fighting to ensure my constituents send less money to Washington and get more of their tax dollars back home. That’s why I supported tax reform that cuts taxes by an average of $2,860 for middle-class Long Island families, while securing $41.4 million in federal funding for community projects across Suffolk County. As part of the $5 million in federal funding I secured for Smithtown, this project will revitalize a downtown parking lot, improve pedestrian access, and address longstanding flooding issues, making downtown Smithtown safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for families and local businesses.

NYC is becoming more like Paris every day. Today, the socialist mayor is using taxpayer resources to instruct illegals, in Spanish, how to evade accountability. Biden’s open border, canceling Remain in Mexico, sanctuary city policies and free hotels, healthcare and lawyers for illegals isn’t compassion. They’re policy choices that are making us more like France and House Democrats are in on it.

Some of the finest officers I served alongside during my 11 years in the Navy were women. Fifty years ago, America opened its military service academies to women. Today, I’m proud to support H.Res. 1512, introduced by my colleague Rep. Stephanie Bice, who serves on West Point’s Board of Visitors, commemorating this historic milestone and honoring the pioneering women of the Classes of 1980. Their courage and determination opened doors for generations of women who have since answered America’s call to serve. I’m grateful for their service and proud to honor their legacy. 🇺🇸

Stopped by Napper Tandy’s in Smithtown between meetings. I may have been a little overdressed for the occasion, but I enjoyed some great conversations with patriotic Americans! 🇺🇸

Wherever you go on Long Island, clean drinking water and healthy waterways matter to everyone. That’s why I’m proud to have secured $1 million in federal funding to replace the aging St. James Wastewater Treatment Plant. This investment will protect our water quality, support Lake Avenue businesses, and expand wastewater capacity to serve 674 units. After more than 50 years of service, it’s time to give St. James the infrastructure it needs for the next 50.

My support for the Senator Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act sends a clear message: America’s adversaries must face consequences for their aggression. Russia and Iran threaten our interests, undermine our allies, and fuel instability. Strong sanctions impose real costs and give America leverage to demand meaningful concessions. I support President Trump’s efforts to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, but I remain deeply skeptical of Putin. Easing sanctions must produce real concessions from Russia, not simply provide Putin more resources to wage war. Putin has banned me from entering Russia, and I wear that ban as a badge of honor. I will never apologize for standing up to America's adversaries. Peace through strength means backing our words with action.
