The One Big, Beautiful Bill is one big, beautiful win for the American people.

It is important that American families do not bear the brunt of increased energy needs associated with data centers. To protect Americans from these increased costs, I voted for, and the House passed, the Ratepayer Protection Act, which directs states to hold data centers accountable for covering the costs of their increased energy usage.

House Republicans are focused on delivering real results for Michigan families by: ✅ Securing a record $4.6 trillion in tax cuts ✅ Implementing no tax on tips, overtime, or Social Security ✅ Increasing the Child Tax Credit ✅ Cutting spending by a record $1.1 trillion ✅ Securing the border ✅ Combating inflation

Honored to recognize Harvey Lake of Jackson as the Veteran of the Month for October. Harvey served in the Army and was stationed in Ludwigsburg, Germany, where he served with Company B, 34th Signal Battalion, VII Corps. Since his time in the military, Harvey has continued to exemplify service, hard work, and devotion to his community.  Thank you, Harvey, for your dedication to our nation.

While @HouseGOP has delivered more jobs and higher wages, the DSA's radical agenda would cost workers $22,000 less in take-home pay each year. Hardworking Michigan families cannot afford the DSA's costly agenda.

If you come to America to scam taxpayers, you shouldn’t get to stay. @HouseGOP passed the Deporting Fraudsters Act earlier this year to restore accountability and common sense.

I enjoyed touring Michigan Rebuild and Automation in Litchfield and seeing all they do to strengthen our supply chain. I've been fighting to rebuild Made-in-Michigan manufacturing so that we can secure our supply chain, strengthen our economy, and provide good-paying jobs to Michigan workers. Thanks to policies like the Working Families Tax Cuts, we're starting to see a manufacturing renaissance across the United States, driving tens of billions of dollars in new investment, creating thousands of good-paying jobs, and bringing manufacturing back home to Michigan.

On National First Responders Day, we thank all the brave men and women in MI-05 who put their lives on the line to protects ours. Thank you for your selflessness, sacrifice, and dedication to serving our communities.

It was great to attend the Lenawee Chamber Business Expo and connect with the many outstanding businesses and service providers that help drive our local economy. I remain committed to supporting policies that foster growth, reduce barriers, and help our businesses thrive.

As a member of the Great Lakes Task Force and the @NatResources Committee, I am dedicated to strengthening efforts to protect the Great Lakes. I was proud to support the American Water Stewardship Act, which would reauthorize funding for several long-standing programs to maintain and improve water quality throughout the nation, including the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.

The contrast is clear. @HouseGOP secured the largest tax cut in American history. Radical Democrats want to pursue an agenda that would raise your taxes and cost American families $355,000 each.

It's common sense: men do not belong in women’s sports. I was proud to usher the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act through the House to strengthen Title IX's protections for women and ensure a safe and level playing field for female athletes.

It was great to meet Adrian College's president-elect, Dr. Tony Coumoundouros, and hear about his vision for the college. I look forward to working with him to ensure that students learn the skills necessary to succeed.

During the Biden-Harris administration, fentanyl poured into our communities at alarming rates, leaving families across the country devastated by the loss of loved ones. @HouseGOP passed and @POTUS signed into law the HALT Fentanyl Act to provide law enforcement with the tools they need to keep Americans safe from these lethal substances.

Parents know what is best for their child's education. I will continue to lead efforts to restore parental control throughout our nation's education system.

Thanks to @HouseGOP, nearly 90% of seniors are paying no taxes on their Social Security.

Reading scores have been plummeting nationwide. It is past time we reject failed fads, raise standards, and ensure every child gains the skills essential to be successful. Proud to usher through the House the Science of Reading Act to improve literacy rates.

The historic 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act lowers housing costs and helps more families achieve the American Dream of homeownership. By reducing burdensome regulatory barriers to new home construction, allowing banks to freely deploy funding, and modernizing HUD programs, we will expand the housing supply for Michigan families.

Washington should make life easier for hardworking Michigan families, not harder. That's why, @HouseGOP passed the Working Families Tax Cuts to deliver the largest tax refund season in American history and provide real economic relief to Michigan families.
