Schutz slams Ellison's record on fraud, lays out plan for attorney general's office | AlphaNews.org alphanews.org/schutz-slams-e…
Keith Ellison was caught on video. townhall.com/news/amy-curtis…
This is the first of several posts on the same topic. I held a press conference last week debunking Ellison's claim that he is a fraud fighter. Remember that he met with some of the Feeding Our Future Fraudsters. In that meeting there was a lot of talk about power and money and how they could help Ellison. One of the participants, Abshir Omar (never indicted) led the discussion. Here is one of my slides from the press conference.
Apparently Keith Ellison is campaigning in Rochester today. Channel 6 KAAL reached out for a statement. Here is what I gave them. What do you think the odds are that they report any of what I submitted.
My Statement:
Keith Ellison is claiming that he makes your life affordable. That is nonsense. The most widely used and respected measure of affordability is the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Keith Ellison does not control the price of a single item in the basket of goods and services that make up the CPI. And the most expensive item in almost every household budget is housing. Keith Ellison does not set your rental rate or your mortgage payment. I urge the voters in Minnesota to look at their shopping cart the next time they go to the grocery store and pick up each item and ask themselves whether Keith Ellison set the price of that item. Again, Keith Ellison’s claim that he makes your life affordable is nonsense.
Keith Ellison also claims he is a fraud fighter. That is also nonsense. KSTP did a deep dive into the fraud cases he claims to have prosecuted and found that almost no one goes to jail or ends up with a felony on their record. And on July 1st the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human services looked at the fraud unit inside Keith Ellison’s office and found that “the Unit is not effectively carrying out its statutory functions and requirements.” The Inspector General also found “that the Unit did not exercise proper fiscal control for its Federal grant.” This is astounding! The Attorney General is supposed to fight financial fraud and yet Keith Ellison is not exercising proper fiscal control of his own fraud unit.
Do you feel safer today than you did 8 years ago? In 2018, the year before Keith Ellison took office, there were 31 murders in Minneapolis. In 2025 there were 62!! Minnesota has become a dangerous place with Keith Ellison in office.

BOMBSHELL: The federal government has determined that Keith Ellison’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is failing to effectively carry out its responsibilities.
In a stunning rebuke, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General has placed Minnesota’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit on conditional recertification, citing serious deficiencies in its operations and performance.
The Inspector General concluded that the unit “is not effectively carrying out its statutory functions and requirements.”The findings are damning:
📷 The unit failed to exercise proper fiscal control over its federal grant.
📷 It is not effectively using its resources to investigate and prosecute allegations of patient abuse and neglect.📷 Over three years, the unit secured just FOUR convictions related to patient abuse and neglect, ranking 13th out of 15 similarly sized units nationwide.📷 The Inspector General determined that the unit is not adhering to federal performance standards. This isn't a political accusation.
These are the findings of the federal government's own Inspector General.
Minnesota has been rocked by massive Medicaid fraud scandals, and now we learn that the very unit responsible for investigating and prosecuting Medicaid fraud is failing to meet federal standards.
And once again, don't expect the mainstream media to give this story the attention it deserves.
Keith Ellison has had years to get this right. Instead, federal officials are raising serious concerns about the performance of his office.
Minnesotans deserve an Attorney General who takes fraud seriously, protects vulnerable Minnesotans, and holds criminals accountable.
As Attorney General, that's exactly what I'll do.

Where was Attorney General Keith Ellison!!??
This detailed article in the Star Tribune shows once again that Keith Ellison barely lifted a finger while hundreds of millions and probably billions of taxpayers’ dollars were stolen.
Many of the criminals used nonprofits as their vehicle of choice to rob the taxpayers. Keith Ellison, the Attorney General, is the primary regulator of nonprofits. While they robbed the taxpayers blind, he looked the other way. He even met with some of the Feeding Our Future Scandal fraudsters and offered to help them.
Tim Walz appropriately ended his campaign for reelection. But Walz cannot be made solely responsible for the failures of Minnesota’s state government while Keith Ellison escapes accountability.
The Walz-Ellison record on fraud is inseparable.
In Minnesota, the ultimate remedy and road to accountability is the ballot box.
Walz appropriately stepped aside. Now Keith Ellison must be replaced.
Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. It is a day to remember all those who died or were injured in the attacks and the first responders and the brave crew and passengers of Flight 93. It is a day to remember the families of those who died or were injured. We must never forget.
That morning I was preparing to drive to the airport to fly to Boston on a business trip. As I was packing, my wife came in and told me to come into the TV room because the news was showing a picture of the North Tower of the World Trade and reporting that it had been struck by an airplane. A few minutes later we watched in horror as the South Tower was struck. At that point I think all of America knew we were under attack and that life would never be the same again.
If you ever find yourself in New York City, I urge you to visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. I remember the first time I visited. Words are inadequate to describe what I felt as I walked through the Memorial & Museum. But I remember thinking that I wished every American would see the story of 9/11 that is so powerfully displayed in the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. We must never forget.
The Alliance for a Better Minnesota, which is spending millions on false attack ads against me, tried to ambush me at our State Fair booth today.
They refused to leave—until I asked them one simple question: What are the sources for the claims in your ads?
That’s when they left.
They can spend millions attacking me, but apparently they can’t defend their own claims.
Check out our fact check of ABM’s attack ad.
This is what the soft on crime policies of Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty and Attorney General Keith Ellison lead to.
