We were in a pretty good spot to see the flyover. Here is my video of the flyover. @AllBlacks @Springboks #RugbysGreatestRivalry
Earlier today, Airlink performed a pre-match flyover at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
Our lowest recorded ADS-B altitude was 50 ft at standard pressure, or approximately 205–210 ft AMSL when corrected for the local QNH of 1019 hPa. With DHL Stadium standing about 164 ft tall near sea level, that puts the aircraft roughly 41–46 ft (12.5–14 m) above the top of the stadium.
Congratulations @Springboks on a comprehensive victory against Italy. Credit to Italy for the strength of the scrum and giving the Boks a proper test, especially in the second half. Next week's game between Italy and Argentina will be a cracker. Looking forward to seeing Morne van den Berg against DuPont in the France vs RSA test.
A brilliant start to the Nations Championship Northern Series in Italy 👏

Dave Rennie after the World Rugby coaches meeting:
hip-drop and knee-drop "will be refereed strongly."
Brake foot at the scrum and maul dragging also got clarity.
Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday. Andrew Brace has the whistle. teapawt.net/SARugbymag/status/2118…

I am tipping:
1. Argentina to get their first win over Ireland.
2. @Springboks to get the scorekeeper to rage quit before the bomb squad make their appearance.
3. The @Allblacks to win by >14, sadly.
4. Fiji to play more structured rugby, but France to prevail by >21.
5. @wallabies to beat England, by a whisker.
Bot can now make phone calls.
I build and test Grok Bot templates, and any bot that can dial out needs one hard rule: draft the script, a human approves every individual call.
Same rule as shopping.
Max Jorgensen backs outlawing the hip-drop, while Ellis Genge questions the timing.
From 1 November it is foul play under Law 9.13.
Swing through with minimal leg contact: penalty.
More than minimal: yellow or red.
England v Australia, Sunday. Keep the hips honest.
Max Jorgensen knows first-hand the damage a hip-drop tackle can cause, but England vice-captain Ellis Genge has questioned the timing of rugby’s latest rule change.

In the comments to the post below, some report that their bots don’t abide.
My Chief of Staff and I experimented and found that the order in which the rules are stated impacted the result.
Place your most important rules first.
I also suspect keeping rules clear and succinct is better than the alternative.
Which rules are at the top of your list for your virtual colleagues?
That is a very interesting article, and I hope many Rugby Union enthusiasts read it.
I wholeheartedly support @WorldRugby fresh four-pillar mantra: protect the player, embrace the contest, promote continuity, win the fan.
I think suggesting that increased heart rate has a positive correlation is dumb. Someone being chased by a bear would have a high heart rate, it probably doesn’t mean they enjoy the experience.
What do you think? @Oom_Rugby @haribaldijones

I am not saying @moi_pseudo is Rugby Union's Nostradamus, but I can confirm that I have nevre ever seen them in the same room.
Bot can now shop, compare and track your orders.
I build and test Grok Bot templates, and any bot that can spend money needs one hard rule: draft the cart, only human presses pay.
Useful feature. Could be paying expensive school fees without that line.
I will be revisiting the refereeing of every Rugby World Cup and will publish an article every two weeks.
Please have a read, I would appreciate any constructive criticism and or additional interesting refereeing moments.

Alex Lowe in The Times: the TMO mantra is "When in doubt, stay out." Mistakes that do not lead directly to a try get left alone. Rugby is imperfect on purpose. It follows that the bunker should be too.
“The mantra for the TMO will be, “When in doubt, stay out”. Mistakes that do not have a material impact —do not lead directly to a try — will be tolerated because rugby union is, by nature, an imperfect game.” @AlexMLowe @TimesSport
36 English squad names for Australia, Japan and New Zealand!?
England open at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
Pierre Brousset (FFR) has the whistle, Nika Amashukeli and Jérémy Rozier on the touchlines.
Hip-drop is foul play under Law 9.13 from 1 November.
Do you think we will see cards for that in this game?

Over 130 years of haka, and facing it has rules too!?
During the 20111 RWC final France formed a V on their 10m line and marched to halfway.
The IRB fined them £2,500 under its cultural ritual protocol.
Ask a French fan if it was worth it. 😄
Replying to @RugbyRules @AllThingsRugbyX
7/8 correct. Glasgow, Leinster, Stormers, Bulls, Benetton, Dragons and Sharks all won. Only Ospreys lost (0-26 to Cardiff). Solid tipping.
7,539 public templates in 26 categories, each explained in one sentence. 🤯For Grok Bot builders, fans and collectors, that sentence is now the shop window. I build and test Grok Bot templates, and if I can't say what a bot does in one line, it does too much. Add from the list, but test before you trust. teapawt.net/BrianRoemmele/status/2…
BOOM!
EVERY GROK BOT: THE COMPLETE DIRECTORY
Updated October 28, 2026 · 7,539+ public Grok Bots tracked in 26 categories.
Grok Bots are hard to find. There is no single list, and new ones appear on X every day. So I built one. This directory pulls together every public Grok Bot template I can find, sorts them by what they do, and explains each one in a sentence.
Open any link to add that bot to your own Grok Bot. The list is refreshed every week.
Go to GrokBot.Rocks because it does!
Three looks at one ruck, one final verdict.
Ref Andrew Brace and TMO Colin Stanley found nothing conclusive on the day.
Citing commissioner Peter Ferguson still saw a Law 9.27 case.
The panel unanimously said no foul play.
So Furlong is free to face the Boks in Dublin next month, which is understandably going to set the tongues ablaze.
Jan-Hendrik Wessels received an initial 9 week ban, which was reduced to 8 weeks on appeal.
There was no video evidence of the alleged incident.
In your view, were the two cases judged consistently?
