Christianity is a personal mandate. Christ told YOU to love, clothe, and feed your neighbor. Socialism seeks to delegate that mandate to the state. Voting to have someone else do your Christianity for you is missing the plot. Said another way: it’s unchristian.

Very excited to learn more about @conorsweeneynj, the first GOP candidate to challenge @JonBramnick in next year's primary. The biggest tent we've had as Republicans in modern history? 2024. Need to learn from what went right & correct what went wrong. The key: no going back!!!

I guess I have a little more perspective than some younger Republicans now that I’m middle aged. That hurt to say… But I vividly remember 2006. Felt like the world had ended! Drove back to DC from campaigning for Mike (not Brian) Fitzpatrick in PA, in the rain, in a van packed with glum college volunteers, listening to the radio litany of Republican incumbents who had gone down in flames. Yes, a lot of bad people now have power. Terrorist sympathizers. Not-so-closeted commies. Politicians who think America can’t be fixed without destroying Americanism, the inverse of Bill Clinton’s famous observation that there was nothing wrong with America which couldn’t be fixed by what’s right about America. Worse still? Your own team is divided, angry, and the “leaders” are pushing their own self-serving narratives, often not associated with sober analysis but reflective of a pre-existing grievance. By best advice to everyone else: never despair. That’s the only way to permanently lose the game. Everything comes around eventually if you stay in the fight, learn from your mistakes, and put those lessons into practice after a little rest and reflection. Trust me! Been there before.

Yes, John McCain, who saved Obamacare and got destroyed by Obama in a landslide. Put down the Bramnick Vodka, Jon! Making less sense than usual.

You don't get 1980 without 1976. No 2010 without 2008. No 2024 without 2020. And so on. It sucks. I get it. Trust me. But this is the physics of American politics. Get some sleep and wake up tomorrow ready to go to work fixing what's broken.

Republicans stayed home. Like I said... decline is a choice!
