This is the fantastic opening of Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto No.1, seen here when I played it last month with the Royal Northern Sinfonia under Dinis Sousa. This concerto, which means so much to me, forms part of my new album 'Hope in Shadow', which is out 13th November.
Two weeks to go! You can pre-order 'Hope in Shadow' on vinyl or CD via the link 🎶 shekukannehmason.lnk.to/Hope…

Hope in Shadow 🎶 I look forward to sharing this new album with you all… it's a body of work I'm so proud of.
Teaching is something I always enjoy, passing on the little things that make the cello sing. Here's a moment from a masterclass I gave in Melbourne recently.
This year marks 10 years since I first signed with @DeccaClassics, we recorded an interview back in 2018 and they asked me the same questions again this year… the full interview is available on my YouTube channel now.
Behind the scenes at my 'Hope in Shadow' album shoot 🎶 I'm really proud of this body of work and can't wait for you all to hear it in November.
The second single from my upcoming album, 'Hope in Shadow’ is out now! This is ‘Ravel: 2 Mélodies hébraïques, M. A22: No. 1, Kaddisch’ 🎻🎶

Had a brilliant time at the Proms, performing Gwilym Simcock's triple concerto with Jess Gillam and Ben Goldscheider 🎻
