Quando si parla di attacchi informatici, si pensa quasi sempre a ransomware, phishing o DDoS, ignorando minacce più silenziose, spesso non rilevate, ma che minacciano ciò che conta di più per aziende e istituzioni: informazioni, competenze, accessi. La Danimarca ha appena proposto di proteggere i cittadini dai deepfake generati dall’intelligenza artificiale garantendo il copyright sul volto, voce e corpo. Se da una parte la soluzione può sembrare estrema, dall'altra bisogna prendere atto che l’intelligenza artificiale generativa ha accelerato in modo esponenziale la creazione di deepfakes convincenti ed economici, mentre le normative esistenti non sono pronte per affrontare una sfida di questa portata. La soluzione danese basata sul copyright offre quindi vantaggi concreti, ma presenta anche alcune criticità. Ho analizzato in dettaglio la proposta, approfondendo perché l'aspetto giuridico è controverso e indicato dove potrebbe invece essere risiedere una soluzione più efficace e duratura. 🚫 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚: 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 I wrote this article with two hats on. As a cybersecurity professional, I look at the wave of social media bans for minors, from Australia to the UAE, the UK, and a dozen more countries, and I see the enforcement leaking on several sides. Platforms cannot reliably verify identity at scale, and at the same time adults cannot realistically supervise a generation that grew up with a smartphone in hand. As the mother of an under-15, I see it from closer up. My daughter is the child of two cybersecurity experts. If the rules of a ban were the only thing standing between her and an app, she would be around them before dinner. The point is that a ban is a starting condition, not a solution. We need three category of solutions to actually protect children: ➡️ 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for them and adults (parents or teachers) ➡️ 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐬 ➡️ 𝐀 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 designed for minors from the ground up. 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐈𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 I've just published a new article on a topic I've been thinking about for a while now: 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞: the real shift in how security operations work, how teams are structured, and how organizations need to rethink risk. These autonomous systems can reason, plan, act, and learn from outcomes with minimal human oversight. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭. Most importantly, I strongly believe 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. Organizations that treat it as a shortcut to cut staff and costs will find themselves exposed the moment these systems encounter something they can't handle alone, 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐚 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫.
