Only 3 times has the Democratic Party renominated a losing presidential candidate in the next election: William Jennings Bryan in 1896 & 1900, Adlai Stevenson in 1952 & 1956. Both lost. And Grover Cleveland, who won in 1884 & 1892 but lost in 1888 (he won the popular vote all 3x)
>@KamalaHarris continues to dominate the potential 2028 field. Two years out, this is mostly name ID. Voters don’t really know Ossoff or Shapiro and they’ll wear well once they get to see them, after they win big re-election victories next month.

This strikes me as a libelous statement against @jamestalarico, certainly defamatory. I guess Musk can afford the lawsuit.
If this is the best they can do, they’re going to lose badly.
Nobody buys that all the problems we have now were caused by Biden two years ago.
And we were hardly “the Titanic.” Economy was humming along when Biden left office. Inflation was lower, gas cost less, etc.
The really astonishing thing here is that RFK Jr. says he *never heard of autism* until 1988, when Rain Man came out. Implying it wasn’t a thing before then.
He was 34 years old.
He’d never heard of autism???
Is it just me or is AI getting worse by the day, and Siri getting stupider? Are they working in concert to be wrong and frustrating? If this is the future, count me out.
Now she’ll have plenty of time to study for the bar exam!
Breaking News: President Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was fired after less than a week on the job, according to people familiar with the matter. nyti.ms/4yuECpZ
Hugely relieved that Trump actually did the right thing for once. As someone who had to witness executions professionally, I was appalled by Hegseth’s callous call to livestream this one.
(FYI, every victim’s relative I interviewed who came for “closure” felt none at all)
I’ve never given money to a candidate of any party in my life, yet I am absolutely inundated with texts & emails asking for donations multiple times a day from every swing state race in the country, both sides of the aisle. It’s insane. Money is the *spoiled* milk of politics.
Trump’s former VP is among those denouncing his embrace of Putin over Ukraine and siding with the enemy (and Iran’s main benefactor) instead of our ally.
President Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Russian fuel amidst Putin’s ongoing and brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine makes no sense and is a betrayal of the legacy and leadership of the late Senator Lindsey Graham.
While Ukraine fights for its survival, Putin’s war machine continues to prosecute his terrorist war on civilian populations and innocent Ukrainians are dying every day.
Now, Instead of implementing the tough sanctions Lindsey Graham fought to his last breath to enact, President Trump has announced the United States is lifting sanctions on Russian energy, fueling the Putin’s war machine.
As I saw firsthand in Ukraine last month, Putin is losing this war. Ukraine has fought the Russian military to a standstill and reinvented warfare with drones taking the fight into the heart of Russia.
America should not be throwing a lifeline to Putin’s war machine. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression as we did during the first Trump administration.
Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. I have no doubt that if Putin overruns Ukraine, it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
America is the Leader of the Free World. For our National Security, for the security of our Allies in Europe including Ukraine, President Trump should rescind this deal immediately and return to the strong policies of our four years in the White House; impose harsh sanctions on any nation purchasing Russian energy and work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Slava Ukraini🇺🇸🇺🇦
This is your new White House Press Secretary. I have no idea what she’s talking about (and neither does she).
The two drugs that make up the “abortion pill” weren’t even invented until 1973 and 1980.
Nazi “externment camps” (as she calls them) did not use the “same chemicals.”
WH Press Sec Katie Zacharia: The abortion pill has the same chemicals that they used in the extermination camps in Nazi Germany
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Nazi gas chambers used hydrogen cyanide (Zyklon B) and carbon monoxide. Abortion pills contain neither: mifepristone is a synthetic steroid that blocks progesterone, and misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin analog.

Someone is going around our neighborhood vandalizing private @Flock cameras: spray painting, removing, smashing them. These particular cameras are on private property, not city-run or connected to the police network. Even if you oppose ALPRs, that’s simply not okay to do.
So let me get this straight: we attack Iran, causing fuel prices to skyrocket. So now we will buy fuel from Russia, who’s mired in war with our ally Ukraine, giving Russia more $ for weapons to give to its client state Iran to use against us.
Geopolitical stupidity & insanity.
Public executions are illegal under United States military law. Either Hegseth doesn’t know, or he doesn’t care. Probably both.
The U.S. military plans to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, the ex-Army major who was convicted of the 2009 killing of 13 people at Fort Hood, when he faces a firing squad on Dec. 3, a Pentagon official said.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said earlier Thursday the Pentagon planned to make the execution public.
Hasan's case could mark the military's first execution of an American service member since 1961.
