Huge thanks to Ben, Amy, Nicole, Heather, Jason, Sandy & Girl's Choir, and above all to the dedicated members of the #WilmSymphony!
Bonus tonight- Ben Wright singing his inspirational song "It Starts With a Voice" with full orchestra and choir #itstartswithavoice
What a glorious sound! 50-strong #WilmSymphony plus Ben and Amy and friends and the best music of Broadway. Tickets still left for tonight!
#WilmSymphony now getting beyond playing the notes and starting to make music for "Broadway Then & Now." Can't wait for this weekend.
Just rehearsed "Anything You Can Do" with Jason Aycock & Heather Setzler- it's true that married folks "duet" better!
Piano rehearsal with Ben and Amy Wright- seriously beautiful singing. Amy's "On My Own" from "Les Mis" may be the high point on March 15.
As a lover of the art of orchestration, I marvel at how different the WSO sounds in the "Broadway Then" music compared to the "Broadway Now"
I just spent an hour setting up percussion and electronic stuff for Symphony rehearsal- they don't tell you about that in conducting class.
Nicole Thompson (often heard doing sets at Ted's in Wilmington) has joined the cast for "Broadway Then & Now" singing "Memory" from Cats
