i've built a new feature.
Just learnt someone built the same feature, called it a product and is making over $30K MRR
What would you do?
Build or keep what I have now?
i think i have product market fit, not sure my product fits the user way of doing things.
Writing is still one of the hardest skill out there.
Most people want to pay and get a pitch, not write and edit.
Most solopreneurs want freedom.
Freedom to do What?
How would you spend your time after u make money
Building consists of two things
tech and people
Anything with UX, code etc, goes under tech
anything marketing and sales, under people.
What isyour biggest challenge right now?
When was the last time you collapsed? exhausted?
Seems i might have caught the flu bug on the plane.
Finished a new feature, was about to launch, and that was it.
In bed for 4 days.
How do u deal with these things?
Got back, ready to build, ship, and sell.
And fell asleep on the couch.
Looks like an all-nighter to launch the next viral feature.
What are you working on?
How is your day going? let's inspire each other to do just a bit more
Last day on vacation, woke up at 0715, breakfast, coffee, 2 new big updates on the way.
New Youtube interview shceduled, and getting some analytics sorted.
Can't wait to back by my desk, new stook updates
Who here launched on @ProductHunt in the last few months?
Would love to connect
Raising money?
I'm looking for you.
Add what you are working on, and I'll pick a few to help with pitching and connections
Finally got to work on the invite section on my site.
Got the first pitch invite from a user last night. Got to love this type of work
Stook now allows users to invite someone to write the pitch together and a designer to help with slides if needed
I'm 46 from Tel aviv. Entrepreneur, speaker and author of F*ck the slides. Currently building stookapp.com helping founders pitch better Looking to connect with more indie hackers & founders. just put myself on the map: makermap.lol/stookapp?v=6wkc…
Focus
I find most founders, solopreneurs especially, we lack focus.
I am building, fixing, designing, marketing, discovery calls, pricing.
Trying to figure it all out could be too much.
My plan is not to build a billion dollar company, but a platform that can help 2-3 thousand
10 days on vacation, it's been hard not to build, not to ship. Only fixed a few small bugs and made notes of things to upgrade.
this morning got an email saying the record from the slides feature is not working.
It's nice to get back at it
Launching is the easy part
Funny, I feel i'm failing here on X with building in public while I'm getting more users to join my platform.
Maybe my building in public should be there?
Do you need to pitch your idea?
Tell me what you do in 1 sentence, and maybe I'll help you improve it
being on holiday means I get to relax and rethink my ideas.
And it's also the first time I keep seeing more cue cards being created, which means more people are practicing their pitch.
I know most people measure MRR or ARR.
Think I'll measure cue cards and how many pitches open
Met a few friends.
Fixed an audio bug.
Taking the rest of the day off.
What are you planning this weekend?
