Your policies should be your values made manifest-- elastic, changeable, adhere to the spirit and not always the letter. You can't treat everyone the same because not everyone *is* the same. But ya know, people suck and take advantage of nuance + labor law isn't ready for that.

It is a hard decision to put your well-being over your career and many do not have the support system or means to leave a harmful work environment. I hope we see more folks holding their employers accountable like this. (1/2)
