When it comes to San Francisco’s sanctuary city laws, the convoluted “Due Process for All” ordinance makes it all but impossible for even violent, career felons like Milton Ramos-Rodriguez to be deported. SDR asked the mayor and every supervisor about it. Only two answered the questions.

My turnout prediction model for the Nov 3, 2026 election illustrating expected turnout at the precinct level and comparing San Francisco neighborhoods.
The pile is hardly unprecedented — voters faced 15 local propositions in 2024 and 25 in 2016 — but this year’s crop makes one thing clear: this ballot is a further test of Mayor Daniel Lurie’s political coattails.

I generally avoid people who have Star Wars names, but the voice of SF is great.

You're brave or crazy to follow SF local politics, but hey come on in. Barak Gila is a discredited Scott Wiener surrogate and should be avoided. ConnectedSF is solid. I argue with @saikatc a lot but he's a good guy and it is instructive to see his takes on issues. @TheVOSF is the best and most independent news source.

San Francisco Supervisors held a rally on the steps of city hall defending this guy from being deported. Why? 👇
As I discovered after a deeper investigation, Ramos-Rodriguez has a notorious criminal history that goes back to his teen years — including two occasions where he spent years on the run as a wanted felon. thevoicesf.org/city-leaders-…

Milton Ramos-Rodriguez has a notorious criminal past going back to his teens. He went on the lam twice for a total of over a decade after he killed someone in a drive-by shooting and stabbed an ex-girlfriend. Yet the mayor and supervisors rallied behind him after his arrest by ICE and continue to defend sanctuary for all.

Ramos-Rodriguez was also charged in 2023 with false imprisonment and possession of a firearm and was sentenced the following year. He is on probation and wore an ankle monitor as recently as a month ago.
