Today Julia Aglionby took her oath and joined the Lib Dem team in the Lords.
She advises on commons and uplands and works as an agricultural valuer, and she is a Professor of Practice at the University of Cumbria.
Now that expertise goes to work in the chamber.

What we needed from the Chancellor was a long-term plan to grow the economy, through a better deal with Europe, to cut people's taxes and bills.
Instead, we got a steady-as-she-goes Budget that just won't cut it.
Staggered that education or early years didn’t feature in that budget speech. Schools in Cheadle Constituency and across Stockport are grossly underfunded compared to neighbouring areas. Real opportunity missed. #Budget
