Italian graphic design in the ’50s and ’60s was on another level. A selection of Olivetti advertisements.

tech desperately needs a new design aesthetic
we literally have agi now and flying cars
but every ui looks the same with this apple/linear minimalist rounded corner tailwind shadcn slop look
we’re not thinking big enough on how things should look and feel
chatting with an agent should look and make me feel like i’m living in the future
it should make me feel hope and awe and optimism that humanity actually got to agi and it will lead to unimaginable prosperity
it should make me tap into my 9 year old self, who wondered if we’d *ever* have talking humanoid robots, and make me feel totally amazed by the realization that this future is not even a possibility now, it is a CERTAINTY!
the time is so ripe now
the coding agents have gotten so good that we can be experimenting and playing with new ideas 100x faster than before
now is the time for excessive experimentation

Great question. My rough framing is that AI has given engineering a 100x boost, product 10x, and design 5x. That imbalance creates real strain: engineers can merge lots of individual changes while the overall UX gets less coherent, and designers burn out trying to keep up.
Design is a deep craft. It takes thought and a view of the whole experience. We haven’t given designers tooling that matches how quickly we can now produce code.
That’s why we’re building Inspect for designers. The ambition is to give them the 200x boost. Then engineers can be the ones trying to keep up :)

some people claim "AI is a bubble", but then fail to understand that the majority of the world runs because of technology/internet and connectivity and the most significant leap in technology in the past 100 yrs is AI.

XRPLA is live and open source: the entire XRP Ledger history, verified, on one server. Install with apt, serve it or restore it into xrpld/Clio.
github.com/first-ledger/xrpl…
public XRPLA full history test servers running here:
xrpla-test.firstledger.net:5…
wss://xrpla-test.firstledger.net:51233
It's @First_Ledger 2 year birthday and we decided to give back to the XRPL with what we developed as solutions we needed to operate.
🚀 The entire history of the XRP Ledger, now on one server.
Meet XRPLA: every XRPL ledger since 2013, compressed into about 1.3 TB, ready to query.
Running a full-history XRPL node used to mean tens of terabytes of storage and a huge monthly bills or expensive servers. XRPLA changes that:
💾 Fits on a single 2 TB drive
⚡ Up to 3x faster answers than a standard node
🕐 From empty disk to full history in hours instead of days or weeks
🔒 Every ledger checked against the network, so what you get is exactly what happened on the ledger.
Built for businesses, explorers, wallets, analytics teams and anyone who needs XRPL history without the heavy infrastructure.
Full history. A fraction of the cost. 🌐
over the course of the next week we'll be publishing full technical specs, benchmarks and open sourcing it all.

Today World of Warcraft was the #1 streamed game on Twitch for the Swiss round of a LOW LEVEL BETA tournament.
World of Warcraft is PvP.
PvP is World of Warcraft.
I really hope the retail devs are paying attention because it is a GIANT myth that people don't care about PvP.

Who said AI only generates slop?
Second experiment. This time I wanted to see how voice, image and edit could build a climate around Borges’ “Ajedrez”. Fifteen cuts. What do you think?
Stack: Opus 5.5 (x-high), @Paper (editorial), @midjourney.

Behance was the platform that helped me gain recognition. Back in the day I was really active there and loved the community - I tried to publish something at least once a month. Then Behance changed, not for the better.
The algorithm started recommending low-quality work from people I don't know, the job offers began to disappear, and most enquiries were scam attempts or low-ballers trying to get a 30-second 3D animation for $250 or less.
Having a Pro account and being featured as a freelancer did nothing to attract new clients, even with over 175K followers and more than 5 million project views there.
It's really sad to see that the platform I used to browse for hours every day is now just a shadow of what it was. Browsing design work on X or Insta doesn't even come close.
Thanks, Adobe.

LARC reveal draft (art done by @JcRivera )
How LARC will work:
🔥 Burn 5 PARCs + 2 bananas to mint 1 LARC
⏰ LARC will be dynamic NFTs with a late reveal (24 to 48 hours post mint)
Will you burn your PARCs or hoard them?? 🤔
