It’s like poor girls hyper focusing on beauty. Beauty is the ONLY currency some of them are born with or have access to build w/ but ppl who have never been poor will look down on a poor woman spending “unnecessary” money on nails/hair but it IS necessary for social climbing.
She gets it. She just does

Idk which is worse: Finding out your husband was on a dating app, or finding out nothing even happened because no one on there wanted him 😖 #rhop

Before I visited Pennsylvania, everyone warned me that Philadelphia people are the toughest, most impatient people in America. I believed them until I walked toward the front door of a Wawa gas station. I was still forty feet away in the parking lot, walking between rows of cars. A massive construction worker in steel-toe boots, carrying a twenty-four-ounce coffee in one hand and a paper-wrapped hoagie in the other, pushed open the glass door to leave. Then he saw me. He stopped. He planted his boot against the bottom of the door. And he waited. Forty feet is a very long distance when a grown man is holding a door for you in the wind. In Japan, to make a stranger wait carries great shame. So I broke into that awkward half-jog every man performs when he wishes to show gratitude without looking like he is fleeing a crime. "Go ahead, boss," he said as I passed. Ten minutes later, as I walked out with my own sandwich, I saw an elderly woman locking her car thirty feet away. I planted my foot against the glass. I held the door. Another man behind me held the inner door. Within seconds we had formed an impromptu honor guard of grumpy men holding glass doors in complete silence. Philadelphia may boo Santa Claus. But inside the three-foot radius of a Wawa doorway, they have the manners of the imperial court.

Yeah, as a woman without kids I agree 100%.
I honestly think they’re worse to single mothers. Single mothers get disrespected to levels I’ve never seen before.

People say wild stuff when you don’t have kids. Unprovoked. As a childfree woman I’ve been called selfish, childish, questioned if I’m good in bed, and questioned if I have medical issues - ALL BY STRANGERS. Still pales in comparison to the disrespect single mothers receive.

I feel so sorry for men that marry women thinking they’ve got a dynamic woman with her own interests, friends, activities/hobbies, depth, and identity… Then surprise! Nope. All a ploy to meet a man, have kids and pour nothing into them because they value nothing outside of them.
You guys realize that one of the greatest joys of motherhood is never again having to do any of the tedious and unfulfilling social rituals you were forced to do so you could increase your odds of finding a man who wanted to have kids with you

She’s far too humble to brag but Kumbah is a Hospitality industry leader herself in this city. She wouldn’t lie or put extras on a situation and I know she’d give an establishment ample opportunity to turn a situation around. Silk City failed miserably. Take your money elsewhere!

Imagine being the friend who’s probably attended the bachelorette, bridal shower, wedding, baby shower & paid money for outfits, travel and gifts. Look at the appreciation that she gets. I would absolutely block you if I was the friend and saw this. Village my ass!
My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long. Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

The hottest guy I’ve ever seen was homeland security or some shit at JFK… could not believe my eyes… and of course I was hungover and looking like death… unable to do anything but accept my fate. He didn’t even look real he was so damn gorgeous
Very handsome guy stopped me in the airport and complimented me and walked off. Made my day but then a bystander literally comes over and tells me I shouldn’t have “let him walk away”. Ma’am you go run after him my life is not your romcom. wtf.

*He didn’t work at the airport as far as I could tell. I was walking from one gate area to the gate directly across while he was walking up the terminal. (PHL) Yes, she was. (And so was he.) If you’d heard the compliment you’d probably be on her side so I’m NOT sharing it 😅

The OP of that topic has much bigger fish to fry under her own roof. She should really stay off the internet with her personal business before she gets the answers to questions she never even asked.

So just decline the invite instead of running to the internet for permission to demonize your friends for having the gall to plan something you’re unable to do. Simple.
Guys a weekend getaway is not cheap. It can easily run over a $1000 bucks for the Airbnd and food. Then you have to pay for things like pet sitters, baby sitters and travel. It's a big ask no matter who you are and people should feel comfortable saying no
