Well, look at this bunch of beauties with our amazing President! Just lunched in RAF Club & are now off to Buckingham Palace to partake of tea & cake with Their Majesties! Have a fabulous afternoon ladies!
Photos by our Chair...more to come when they get to the Palace!
The Gardens of Remembrance in Princes Street, Edinburgh were opened this morning. Our new Standard Bearer, RAF Cadet Sgt Denys Obruchnykov, did a great job.
Plenty more photos on Legion Scotland FB page!

Yesterday was the opening of the Gardens of Remembrance in Glasgow, where we were represented by Kate Thomas. It was a truly awful day & everyone got thoroughly soaked - viewed it as mild discomfort when measured against the sacrifice they were remembering.

Just spent 2 v hot days with some members in lovely Lichfield, visiting Cathedral & @Nat_Mem_Arb. Buggy rides helped us enjoy the memorials more comfortably.
TY to our hosts - you were so welcoming!
Thankfully, nobody succumbed to the heat but most gave in to ice cream 😂🍦
Our Vice Chair, Debbie Bowles, at the Lord Mayors Flag raising in Westminster today to mark Armed Forces Day.
5 of our members attended the Royal Hospital Chelsea Founders Day yesterday. The rain held off this year - and don't they all look glam?
Our very own Betty Brown, receiving the OBE from our Patron, His Majesty. Betty is a victim of the Post Office scandal and has been at the forefront of the fight for justice. Go Betty ❤️👏
Congratulations to everyone who received honours at today’s Investiture ceremonies, hosted by The King at Windsor Castle. 🎖️👏
Amongst recipients were...
🎬 Sir @IdrisElba for services to young people.
⛸️ @TorvillandDean for services to ice skating and voluntary service.
🎭 Dame Meera Syal for services to literature, drama and charity.
⚖️ Betty Brown OBE for services to justice.
🎞️ @PaulChuckle2 MBE for charitable service.
So, here we have our Chair & Governance Trustee, both RAF Vets, who have finally seen the light & defected to the Senior Service 😉😂
They were at a Charity Governance Seminar for WWA. I suspect there may also have been wine & shopping involved. No judgement, just saying😉
Look who's just celebrated her 104th birthday! Our lovely member, Cathy Drummond is not only a War Widow but a Veteran of WWII herself. 1 of her gifts was a morse code machine, in honour of her service as a wireless operator. You deserve all the treats, Cathy: happy birthday!🥳
