I want to put something positive out there today. Today it's about @sdccu. As a veteran and a federal employee I am one of hundreds of thousands affected by the shutdown. SDCCU has made 0% loans available to federal employees affected by the shutdown. They gain no income from this and the staff time on it must incur a cost. Still, they have stepped up to serve public servants who serve us all.
That is honorable as hell. We need more companies to step up so that our federal employees do not become hostages in this fight.

Freedom of speech (and association) means we can't force people to listen to/participate in things they don't agree with.

I spent Memorial Day at Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial. Today we honor those who gave their lives to defend our nation, and their loved ones who also deserve our profound gratitude. May we always remember that freedom isn’t free, but our democracy is worth fighting for.
Why are Republicans advocating for the Government to violate anyone's constitutional rights? If the government wants to take your life, liberty, or property regardless of who you are they must follow the constitution.
That means anyone who is part of the government be they tax collector, police officer, or ICE agent, have to give you due process and follow the constitutional.
If you want to make the process faster or more efficient it's simple: strengthen the border and fund the immigration adjudication system so that people don't wait 6 months plus for a hearing. That time period is the incentive for staying.
It's not rocket science.
