“Our country 🇺🇲 faces many challenges, and I am continuing to fight to solve those challenges and those problems for each and every one of you,” @RepTonyWied said.
@RickCrossonWI, on the other hand, took Wied to task for failing to place checks ✅️ on the @realDonaldTrump administration’s #tradewars and #military action.
That played out early on in Thursday's @WFRVLocal5-hosted debate in sparring over the 🇮🇷 #Iran war.

THANK YOU @mikiebarb @UWLaFollette, the Madison Club & attendees of the @wispolitics chat with the veteran reporter-host of @nytimes “The Daily.” We talked about the state of journalism, politics, pizza and took audience questions. His podcast is worth a listen.

#Wisconsin voters 🗳 cast 55,659 #absenteeballots in person on the first day of early voting, a 65% spike 📈 compared to four years ago.
In terms of raw numbers, Dane and Milwaukee counties had the largest jumps. ➡️ But on a percentage basis, some of the largest increases were reported by clerks in #rural areas.

.@WisGOP gubernatorial candidate @TomTiffanyWI accused @WisDems rival @DavidCCrowley of flipflopping 🔁 on tax breaks for #datacenters.
Crowley fired back that Tiffany couldn’t be trusted on the issue, saying the Minocqua congressman has voted for #taxbreaks going to #bigtech companies and fasttracking the development of data centers without proper 🌏 environmental reviews or input from local #communities.

As the public’s wariness about artificial intelligence grows, the midterm elections are primed to serve as a barometer of voter enthusiasm for candidates who support regulations and a window into what kind of guardrails could come in 2027.

In their only debate of the race, @WisDems challenger @RebeccaforWI knocked @WisGOP @derrickvanorden’s support of the #Iran 🇮🇷 war and cuts to federal social programs while he accused her of lying and being against #taxcuts.
Van Orden directed the audiences to rebeccalies.com throughout the forum, and Cooke hit him on Republicans’ #OneBigBeautifulBill and the lack of congressional approval associated with the war. The two also faced each other on the 🗳 #ballot two years ago but did not debate in that race.
