Cigna uses an automated system that allows “medical directors” (doctors employed by @Cigna) to deny a claim in 1.2 seconds without opening the patient’s file.

Well, we got up at 2am, drove from Tahoe to Reno. Went through security and boarded plane. Flight cancelled- off plane. Rebooked for Reno-San Francisco-Denver-Philadelphia. @Wolfe_HA was rebooked on a different combination of flights. We will reunite in Denver. Stay tuned!

Malin and others performed a quality improvement initiative to reduce screening chest radiographs in the ICU. The number of radiographs was reduced in part by eliminating unnecessary daily screening.#pedsICU
