ALT Two men stand with their backs to the camera, their heads turned toward each other as they engage in conversation. The man on the left is wearing a hooded coat with Environment Agency written on it. The man on the right is dressed in a dark blue overcoat and scarf. They are standing on a riverbank, with the river pictured in the middle of the image, surrounded by trees. Autumn-coloured leaves carpet the ground. Beyond the river, houses, cars, and a road can be seen faintly through the tree branches.

A greener future for the West Midlands starts here with the launch of the West Midlands new Local Nature Recovery Strategy 🌿
The Rea corridor is a great example in bringing wildlife back, improving flood resilience and strengthening access to nature for local people.
Here’s what this means for our local communities:
👉 More accessible, better-quality green spaces for local families to enjoy
👉 Healthier rivers, canals and parks with more wildlife and cleaner water
👉Clear action to help communities adapt to climate change and feel its benefits locally
👉More opportunities for young people and adults to learn green skills and access new jobs

🦔If you're planning a bonfire this year, please remember to check for hedgehogs and other wildlife prior to lighting. Ensure that you build your bonfire on the day, or relocate it prior to use, and only light from one side.
