Day 1875: 🏫 Girls barred from secondary schools. Day 1415: 🎓 Women barred from universities. 🇦🇫 An empty classroom is not just a room without students. It is a hospital without a future doctor, a school without a future teacher, and a community without a future leader. #RecogniseGenderApartheid #ACrimeAgainstHumanity #LetAfghanGirlsLearn

Day 1874: 🏫 Girls barred from secondary schools. Day 1414: 🎓 Women barred from universities. 🇦🇫 When a girl is educated, her future children benefit too. When she is denied education, the consequences can echo across generations. تھر مٹی ماں ہے دھول نہیں Today, Ada @PartabShiwani shared this video, reviving memories of the first Tharr Science Festival nearly a decade ago. I sang Salman Haider’s beautiful poetry for Tharr and its children. Proud of Partab @TharEduAlliance and everyone devoted to Tharr’s education. Respect! ✊🏽❤️

Education opens doors, but partnerships like these open pathways to dreams, dignity and opportunity. Deeply grateful to @MalalaFundPK, #ICEPakistan, @BNUCommercial and @LRUK Network for investing in the potential of Pakistan’s young women. When we change the world for girls, girls will change the world for us.
Some partnerships are about more than just signing a paper, they are about opening doors and creating possibilities. Optimistic and motivated that @MalalaFundPK join hands with #ICEPakistan, @BNUCommercial University and @LRUK Network to launch the Malala Fund Scholarships for Girls. We are hoping that this partnership will create new opportunities for talented young women in #Pakistan to access quality, internationally recognised education and take their dreams further. I believe every girl deserves the chance to realise her potential. And sometimes, all it takes is someone opening that first door.

From desert landscapes to a thriving hub of science and innovation, Thar’s transformation through girls’ education is truly inspiring. The girls of Thar are proving that talent and potential know no boundaries. Heartfelt appreciation to @PartabShiwani , Thar Education Alliance, HBL Foundation, the Government of Sindh and all partners for creating opportunities for girls to dream, discover, innovate and lead. #GirlsInSTEAM
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai’s father, Co-Founder of Malala Fund, Ziauddin Yousafzai, has lauded the Thar Education Alliance (TEA), Habib Bank Foundation and the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, for organising the first-ever Girls’ STEAM Festival in Nangarparkar. In his video message, he said, “People know me as the father of Malala Yousafzai. Last year, the festival in Thar was also hosted by Malala Fund. A few years ago, when I first heard about Thar, the image that came to my mind was that of a desert. But within just a few years, the contributions of the Thar Education Alliance have transformed the landscape through girls’ education, STEAM and other unique initiatives. Today, Thar has emerged as a hub of science festivals. You all deserve great appreciation. The partnerships built around this cause are priceless. Partab Shivani and his entire team deserve high praise. What they initiated in 2018 has now become a topic of conversation across Sindh, and the girls of Nangarparkar have every reason to feel proud.” His message recognises the journey of Thar's growing educational and scientific movement and the collective efforts to create opportunities for girls to learn, innovate and lead. @HBLPak #GirlsInSTEAM #HBL #HBLFoundation @Malala | @ZiauddinY

Day 1873: 🏫 Girls barred from secondary schools. Day 1413: 🎓 Women barred from universities. 🇦🇫 Afghanistan cannot rebuild its economy while excluding half its population from education. Kawas has made history as the first hijab-wearing Palestinian American to serve in the New York State Legislature. Like it or not but this is the beauty of democracy in US and UK. Muslim minority can get votes from Christian majority. Can we practice the same kind of democracy in Pakistan and other Muslim countries? We elect non-Muslims on reserved seats.
We made history. 🇵🇸

A country where half of the population is told it is to just stay home and do nothing will not progress or stand on its own two feet.
Day 1872: 🏫 Girls barred from secondary schools. Day 1412: 🎓 Women barred from universities. 🇦🇫 An uneducated girl today risks becoming a silenced woman tomorrow. Heartiest congratulations on this historic victory! Wishing you every success in serving the people of Michigan.
It is my honor and privilege to be headed to the US Senate to serve the great state of Michigan.  Michigan, we did what they said couldn’t be done. We won. Together. Now the real work begins.

Malala speaks on gender apartheid in Afghanistan If you are a girl in Afghanistan, the Taliban has decided your future for you. You cannot attend a secondary school or university. You cannot find an open library where you can read, you see your mothers and your older sisters confined and constrained in a similar way. You cannot leave the house on their own, not to work, not to go to the park not to get a haircut not to even see a doctor.

What does a five-year education plan mean for a child sitting in an overcrowded classroom, a girl without access to adequate sanitation, or a school struggling with too few teachers? For Invictus Africa, the answer begins with funding. Following the launch of the Oyo State Education Sector Plan 2026–2030, Invictus Africa has called on the Oyo State Government to translate its commitments into adequate budgetary allocations, targeted interventions, and accountability measures in the 2027 budget. Oyo has already taken an important step by linking its education priorities with Gender-Responsive Education Budgeting and Spending (GREBS). With budget officers trained on the GREBS toolkit, the state can direct resources to learners' specific needs, ensuring girls, boys, and other vulnerable groups are not left behind. The next step is to ensure these commitments are reflected in actual budget allocations, fund releases, and measurable improvements in schools. Because every child deserves the opportunity to learn, complete their education, and succeed. As our Strategy and Programmes Officer, Tobacaleb Akanmu, said: “A plan is only as strong as the budget behind it, and the real test of this plan begins with the 2027 budget”. Invictus Africa appreciates Malala Fund for its support in making this work possible and for advancing efforts towards more inclusive and equitable education. #GenderResponsiveEducation #DataForImpact #EducationMatters
