I'm guessing most people replying to this aren't big on the series. Skyrim was the first time an Elder Scroll was directly tied to the main story (and then a DLC). The series has never been focused explicitly on the scrolls, and I think that's one of the strengths of it

According to The Verge, an official announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI will happen very soon, even as early as next month. It will be called "The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel", and will take place in the province of Hammerfell. The game's story will focus on the Elder Scrolls artifacts themselves, and uncovering the secrets of the Scrolls.

So Daggerfall Online has taken most of my criticism to heart about not trying to gouge out your pockets for a community project, built on an engine that's completely free and primarily needs funds for AI tech So anyway after all that they added a cosmetic store to Daggerfall 🥴
