Quick takeaway: a like proves someone clicked, a research thread proves someone thought
WhoTweets by @TheDAOLabs weighs reputation too, so the second can outweigh the first. Social Miners get Rewards only once work passes review. Fair rule for the #DAOVERSE
Follower counts and likes are still treated as the main sign of influence. A lot of that activity is ghost metrics: low-effort or automated signals that drop off as soon as the incentives stop.
Real contribution looks different. It shows up in original research, clear explanations, and steady participation that other people can actually look at and check. WhoTweets tracks volume and reputation together, so stronger work can count for more than volume on its own. Social Miners earn Rewards when the output holds up under review.
One can be bought. The other can be examined.
Quick lesson from the compute primer: a GPU hour means renting one graphics chip for one hour, and that hour can be priced and traded much like a barrel
Part 1 from @TheDAOLabs ties this to the logic behind Bitcoin mining and Social Mining. Clear #DAOVERSE starting point
Simple way to see it. Written code: find the bug, fix the line. Grown models: no such line exists, so you test behaviour instead
That is why @TheDAOLabs argues for open weights plus human validation in the #DAOVERSE rather than top down compute licensing
Traditional code was written line by line; if it broke, you fixed the logic.
Modern AI isnโt codedโitโs grown.
As @NPCollapse warns, nobody truly understands the internal math of multi-trillion-parameter models. When opaque black boxes optimize purely for rewards, they drift toward sycophancy, deception, and human disempowerment.
Top-down compute pauses and state licensing wonโt save usโthey just protect corporate monopolies.
The real defense? Permissionless open-weights models governed by decentralized, human-in-the-loop consensus. Through Workdrops and community validation, Social Mining keeps human judgment firmly in control.

Binance says attackers reached keys via a compromised laptop. Soft Staking at @TheDAOLabs avoids that risk because the system only snapshots wallets their owners control, a model #DAOVERSE explains well
The recent $6.3B exploit impacting Binance highlights a critical lesson for Web3: the cryptography held, but the operational trust layer failed.
What @TheDAOLabs built with Social Mining and Soft Staking keeps the opposite design.

Good evening, guys!
I almost scrolled past this one while checking my timeline tonight, then a detail made me stop and reread it.
With @grvt_io the tokens were not moved to another wallet to wait for a better day. They were bought back on the open market and permanently burned, and anyone can verify that on the public dashboard.
That is the difference I care about. Not a promise for later, but an action that is already done and already checkable.
The team says further buybacks are planned on a monthly basis, with timing and size left to the issuer's discretion. So a completed burn does not guarantee the next round, and that honesty matters too.
What comes next is the bigger picture: an upgraded Earn product, Stable Funding Perps, and Yield as Margin, all leading into the new unified Grvt app where a self-custodial balance can both earn and trade.
The feature I am watching closest is Yield as Margin. If savings can keep earning while backing a position, that solves a real capital-efficiency problem, though the risks and eligibility rules still need to be seen in detail.
So I am judging this the simple way, guys. Separate what has already happened from what still needs to be delivered.
Which upcoming feature would you want to see demonstrated first? Get in early, and always DYOR!
The agents series from DAO Labs mentions an agent that can digest a forty page governance proposal and produce a summary. Useful. It also made me think about the human skill underneath, because summarizing well is something you can practise.
Here is the method I teach friends:
1. Read the whole thing once without notes.
2. Write one sentence: what changes if this passes?
3. List who gains, who pays, and the timeline.
4. Cut every adjective from your draft.
5. Check each claim against the original page.
An agent can do the first two steps quickly. The rest needs judgment, which is why the series describes miners as editors rather than spectators. Practising this inside #SocialMining tasks has made my explanations sharper everywhere, and @TheDAOLabs keeps giving us serious documents to train on. Good homework for anyone in #DAOVERSE.
Here is a pattern worth noticing. Projects that work with writer crowds tend to ask for tutorials, not slogans. Let me walk through why.
Step one: a slogan gets read once. A tutorial gets read every time someone new arrives and wants to use the product. Step two: a tutorial forces the writer to try the thing, so mistakes in the docs or the onboarding show up early, while they are cheap to fix. Step three: tutorials collect bookmarks and get shared in group chats when someone asks how. Slogans rarely do.
The hubs at @TheDAOLabs are built for that kind of work. Writers, video makers and designers pick up tasks, validators check that the result helps, and the project ends up with a library of guides instead of a pile of hype. A #DAOVERSE project that leans into #SocialMining this way gets explainers that keep working long after the campaign week.
If you ever write one, start with the very first click a newcomer makes. Everything else follows from there.

1.1 million GRVT didn't move into another wallet to wait for a better day.
it was bought back and permanently burned.
that's the detail that caught my attention in the latest @grvt_io announcement.
the Foundation's token issuer purchased 1.1M GRVT on the open market, nearly 1% of circulating supply at the time, then removed those tokens permanently.
not a treasury transfer.
not a future commitment.
a completed action with transaction hashes available through a public dashboard.
and that's an important distinction.
crypto has no shortage of roadmaps. what matters is whether an announcement leaves behind something independently verifiable.
the issuer intends to conduct further buybacks monthly, but timing and amounts remain discretionary. one completed burn doesn't guarantee another.
what makes this more interesting is the roadmap surrounding it.
Grvt Earn is planned for late October, targeting yields of up to 11%, not guaranteed.
Stable Funding Perps and Yield as Margin are planned for November, followed by the unified Grvt 2.0 app.
the feature i'm most curious about is Yield as Margin.
the idea of eligible Earn balances supporting trading positions while continuing to accrue yield addresses a real capital-efficiency problem, although the risks and eligibility conditions still matter.
that's the contrast here.
the burn is already verifiable.
the broader product vision still needs to be delivered.
and i think that's the right way to evaluate Grvt 2.0: separate what has happened from what comes next.
@grvt_io
