“what a humiliation when one stood beside me and heard a flute in the distance and I heard nothing, or someone heard the shepherd singing and again I heard nothing, such incidents brought me to the verge of despair, but little more and I would have put an end to my life - only art it was that withheld me, ah it seemed impossible to leave the world until I had produced all that I felt called upon me to produce, and so I endured this wretched existence…
with joy I hasten towards death - if it comes before I shall have had an opportunity to show all my artistic capacities it will still come too early for me despite my hard fate and I shall probably wish it had come later - but even then I am satisfied, will it not free me from my state of endless suffering? Come when thou will I shall meet thee bravely. - Farewell and do not wholly forget me when I am dead, I deserve this of you in having often in life thought of you how to make you happy, be so -
Heiligenstadt, October 6,1802, Ludwig van Beethoven”

For two years I've been building a Computational Engineering Model, an AI that designs real, manufacturable hardware entirely in code!
I've done it all self-funded, nights and weekends, while working full-time on flight hardware. But every design loop runs on AI compute, and I've hit the ceiling of what one person can pay for.
The big companies chasing this have billions. I have a workshop, 15 years of flight hardware experience, and a working system. What I don't have is the funding to keep it evolving. :/
That's where you come in. If you believe the tools that build the future shouldn't belong only to billion-dollar companies, help me.
Every dollar goes to compute. Every result gets published publicly. Let's prove one person and a community can start a revolution and with it build our future.
Im very open to collaborations and projects as well!

I actually think my best writing is confined to love letters that will never see the light of day
one genre of writing i will always stop to read is love letters of all kinds (simple, direct, poetic, obscure). regardless of the author (artists, doctors, people from centuries past, random 17 year old on substack), i love that each is a grasping, somewhat inevitably futile attempt to capture the magnitude of what someone meant to someone else through the slippery medium of words. that human reaching for the same essential essence of, i care about you and i wish you to know that, despite the infinite variance of the relationships that emerge between us. love provokes a specific kind of creativity to seek new ways to express that to the people we love, so we may surprise and delight them. the reaching, the grasping is productive
for this one by johnny cash, my favourite lines: ‘i meditate on it and realise how lucky i am to share my life with the greatest woman i ever met…the #1 earthly reason for my existence’ these are somewhat common lines, and yet i find myself moved at the depth of feeling clearly running beneath. sometimes platitudes are truly the best we have in these cases
I remember that
How easy it is to continuously forget this because of how easy it is to take for granted what you have and also to completely miss the bigger picture of how much things have changed over a long enough period of time
