made so many great connections in 24hours.
hi everyone 👋
i’m a freelance design engineer. i collaborate with industry leaders and startups to help them in saving substantial amounts of money by avoiding lawsuits resulting from poor design decisions or make more money by enhancing their product.
enough about me, how are you doing?

im so disappointed with seeing so many talented folks - some even i once respected and considered great end up blatantly copying others.
lol! not asking guillermo to hire me. im extremely expensive even though i havent raised my rates in 2+ years.
what i mentioned was simple example from my work on how much they could benefit from good ux.
also, y'all are so blind! can't you see me rocking a gold badge?
Replying to @rauchg
conduct user testing and feedback sessions with a decent number of people from diverse groups, technical and non-technical. that will show you where the ux gaps are. keep doing it for every new feature launch too. it doesn’t need to be a big group after the first round; the point is to see how the new feature changed the flow since last time or made the users feel about whole. obviously, there should be some reward to make it worth the person’s time. that’s how we do it. any kind of platform credit should do, up to you.
at radwell, after i fixed the ux of their platform, they made $11m in fresh new revenue in the first month after release. after user testing i made many more fixes that improved it further.
anyway, this is just one common and known way to fix it. there are plenty of other ways too :)

we wasted 4 days cause of vercel's bad ux.
such a great platform but don't understand why ux is so bad.
ps: this tweet wasnt supposed to be a feedback i was just generally mentioning a recent frustration. please read before you reply. i am employed dont have time to screenrecord or send audit reports. and it is not just one issue i had it was multiple overtime. and i replied to @rauchg already i dont understand people who arent working at vercel getting triggered so much.
dear guillermo, please ask your fans to be kind to this online stranger (me). i do not want so much attention. not really into fame and stuff.
woah, not used to this many attention.
apologies if i triggered vercel and guillermo fans. that was not the intention.
touchscreen on macbook to me personally doesn't sit well. i hate when people touch their computer screen, full of smudges. there's ipad and z folds for a reason, get those. although a touchbar would have been better like the 13" mbp - i loved it and it was perfect.
but also, people have been asking for it a while and this release showed ternus is listening to users and trying to give them what they want which is a very good thing.
my fav thing about the new mbp is glowing logo for sure. brings back memories.
if there's an extension i love the most, it's dearrow.
if you hate clickbait thumbnails and titles on youtube you'll love this extension.

For a company voice, pick a real person who talks a particular way, and make the welcome email and the error message sound like them.
A person’s easier to copy than a committee. Then write their voice down as pairs, warm but not gushing, brief but not curt, so the line’s clear.

A website feels slow when you’re staring at a blank patch where a picture should be, then the page jumps as you go to tap something.
Both are fixable.
Show each picture blurry first, in the space it’ll take, then let it sharpen, so nothing moves. And make each page carry only what it needs, since less to download is less to wait for.
Videos are where the weight hides. The silent video looping at the top of a homepage may still carry a soundtrack nobody hears; take it out and the file shrinks.
Make each video only as big as it appears; a little clip on a card doesn’t need to be cinema-sized. Then keep squeezing the file until you can see a difference, and stop.
Up to there, nobody can tell.
i thought i'll get away with having my own skill files, i thought it'll work out but nope. i was wrong. now i am going to fine tune a local llm to think like me and code like me.
i will use frontier models to do most of the work but review and cleanup and maintenance will be done by my fine tuned local llm.
what should i call it?
i noticed the algorithm is a lot better now. im seeing good contents on my feed from my beloved folks than stupid ragebait posts.
