adhd brain + 150 lines of agent markdown = i've read the same paragraph 4 times and still don't know what changed so now my agents can only talk to me through @excalidraw 🤓 went from blindly LGTM-ing to actually knowing what's going on

Is this a banger or am I missing something?
I started writing smart contracts in 2018, and one thing always bothered me: why did running my own RPC mean running a full node, or an archive node if I wanted historical state? My app only cared about my contracts, a few dependencies and some ERC20s. Why did I need to keep up with everything everyone else was doing on Ethereum just to serve those reads? The annoying part was keeping that smaller set of state up to date. Reading a value at one block was doable, but knowing what changed in the next block meant executing it or asking a node that had. A transaction could reach my contract through several other contracts, so just filtering transactions by their destination wasn’t enough. I mostly forgot about it. RPC providers got reliable enough for what I needed, and I had other things to build. I still didn’t love the setup, but it stopped being something I spent time thinking about. Then over the weekend, I was looking through Glamsterdam’s EIPs and realized block-level access lists might make this practical. BALs include the state changes made during a block, including the new values, and the block commits to that list. So once you have the initial state you care about, you can follow its changes without re-executing every transaction. So I started vibe coding it. It’s called skim. You tell it which accounts and storage slots you care about, or let it discover the state your simulations read. It fetches the initial values from Ethereum’s P2P network through SNAP, checks their Merkle proofs, and keeps them updated using BALs. Your eth_calls then run locally. If a call needs something it hasn’t fetched, it gets that from peers too, just with more latency. No upstream RPC provider for those reads. It can also keep historical versions of the state you’re tracking. That was another thing I wanted: being able to query my app’s past state without keeping everyone else’s history. It exposes a JSON-RPC interface, so existing tools can use it for the methods it supports. It still receives full payloads and BALs. The state it maintains is selective, not everything it downloads. There’s also a consensus light-client implementation now, but that path isn’t active on Sepolia yet because the required Gloas light-client data isn’t being served by the peers tested so far. For now, the head is still trusted. It’s still an experiment, and I’m working through correctness bugs and longer-running tests. I’m not presenting it as a production node replacement. But it’s pretty satisfying to finally build something around a complaint I’ve had since 2018. I wanted a small client that knows the parts of Ethereum my app actually uses, and that’s what I’m trying to make. github.com/leekt/skim

hey, i’m sorry this happened but you are absolutely in the wrong here if you paid $3,200 for an NFT, it’s your investment & it’s totally your job to read the docs & participate in the process calling @standard_rsv a rug because you didn’t do due diligence on this part is a shitty attitude, that’s your loss you say you’re on the website 24/7 but you never - deposited any $standard ($1 counts) - saw the big ass checkin button even once? - read multiple updates from beans on the burn? - slightly attempted to listen to the last ama? plus, how was the website down for 48 hours when i’ve logged in every single day? it literally takes <10 seconds. & just be truthful, this isn’t a case of “bad communication” or “a rug” (i’d rather u just admit that u were inactive without trying to sound aggressive) pushing the narrative that “abstract devs are ruggers” won’t get your 8000 $standard back. sure, it’s a banking ponzi but systems operate differently & this was a rule from day 1. to everyone else who had their charters burned, sorry it happened but game is game. address it like it is.
Woke up to see -$2,400 in my account. I paid 1.25 ETH ($3,200) for an @standard_rsv NFT through the auction. Just yesterday, I had over 8,000 $STANDARD. Then, without any warning, they burned my NFT and gave me back only a small portion of what I had. Their reason? "They burned inactive charters." I'm literally on the website 24/7 because I never close the tab, and I check it daily. No on-chain activity? That's because expanding branches is ridiculously expensive. The last time I checked, it would have cost around $2,000 just to expand. And yes, I know about Dormant Bankers. I was actually planning to do something about it, but your website was down for 48 hours and has been flagged as "unsafe" since the update. I bought my NFT through the auction, NOT the whitelist mint. I paid FULL PRICE for it, and you just burned it without any warning? This can't be serious. @0xbeans Y'all seriously need to improve how you communicate with your community. People have invested real money into this project, and decisions like this shouldn't come out of nowhere.

thanks to everyone that showed up for the mint kinda crazy that it sold out within 30s or so the funds generated from mint will be used to kickstart our various flywheels and make sure that [redacted] is in good shape and thick from day 1. i genuinely think we have something pretty special/cool on our hands and can’t wait to share more. We’ve got some heavy hitters from the space helping advise the product and I’m very excited to see the economy kick off. next steps will be to share more about the game, slowly teasing diff game mechanics, then into docs followed shortly by game launch. all of this is expected to happen within 2 weeks or so. onwards

AGWs only exist on Abstract, which is a real headache for multichain mints. Loved how the @YieldFields_RH team handled it for their deed mint: → a grace period for holders to link a regular EVM wallet → AGW holders who still hadn't linked one got their AGW signer allowlisted by default. The signer is exportable and works like any EVM wallet. Nobody left behind 👏

Update Telegram Desktop immediately! A critical vulnerability has been discovered that allows attackers to gain access to your account and secretly steal files from your computer. The attack uses links in the format tg://. If a special command is constructed, clicking the link can cause a malicious script to send a selected file to the attacker’s channel - without requiring additional confirmation.

Make sure to mint your soulbound XP NFT to be part of something cool soon.
Abstract shuts down on December 15. Your Portal XP, tier and badges go with it. Unless you put them somewhere permanent. Proof of XP: your Abstract XP, onchain on Ethereum. Forever. proof.abstools.xyz

To the builders who wanted to do something for Abstract users: now you can. That's the main reason I made Proof of XP. Since the shutdown was announced, a few of you have wanted to reward the people who were active on Abstract, but the XP was never something you could actually get, and once the Portal is gone it won't be. With Proof of XP, every user who mints gets their XP, tier, badges and join date on Ethereum. You can read it from a contract or through the API and use it for whatever you want: a mint, an airdrop, an allowlist. proof.abstools.xyz/docs And for everyone who was there: the time, conviction and money you put in stays on record. Future is green. 🫡

This is for builders btw, make sure to check out the docs if you wanna build around 🙂
Replying to @0xSLK
But a keepsake isn't the point. Proof of XP is an open registry. Any project can read it and reward the people who actually used Abstract: Gate a mint by tier. Airdrop by XP. Perks for early members. Bring Abstract users to your chain. No permission needed.
