My takeaways:
1) The Orchestrator-subagent swarm is overrated!
2) A curated set of custom skills, tools and Memory .MD outperforms both Vanilla Claude and Swarms.
A good Subagent I'm still using :
A tool call that invokes a Sonnet subagent to read Anthropic documentation. It spares my main agents' context window when I ask it "Can Claude do X?"
A good skill file I'm maintaining:
A /dashboard-preferences skill that tells my agent how to make my data dashboards look clean.
When building your own skill files and memory files, you can prevent context bloat by storing them in a project folder. You can also add disable-model-invocation if you don't want its description to always appear in your agents context window.
One problem I'm still facing is maintaining up to date Readme files and other project documentation as new decisions get made.

Anthropic is now recommending that companies REMOVE unnecessary subagents from their AI systems.
This is a pretty significant shift in agent architecture, with their team finding that a single agent equipped with skills can frequently outperform complex multi-agent systems, and one customer seeing roughly 2x faster execution.
The emerging rules of thumb:
→ Skills: Teach the agent HOW to do something, including procedures, expertise, and instructions.
→ Tools / MCP: Give the agent the ability to DO things through APIs, actions, and live data.
→ Subagents: Use for parallel work, isolated context, or tasks a single agent struggles with.
The interesting part is progressive disclosure. Instead of spawning specialized agents or stuffing everything into a giant prompt, one agent discovers and loads skills and tools as needed.
Their advice is to fold existing subagents into the main loop, turn their instructions into skills, expose their actions as tools, and run evals to see if performance holds up.
As models have gotten smarter, improving agent architecture is becoming less about what you can add and more about what you can delete.

If you're working in the stablecoin/payments sector I highly recommend giving this report a read.
It's packed with payment and geographic stablecoin insights nobody else in this industry has.
Stablecoin payments grew 45% to $482B this year, while supply grew 0.4%.
Tim Conard from @Visa shared his perspective in our Q3 State of Stablecoins & Payments report.

After three years running Obchakevich Research solo - work cited by Forbes, CoinDesk, The Block, and used by a16z crypto, ARK invest, GSR, Keyrock, Polygon Labs, Avalanche, Flagship Advisory Partners and others - I’m opening up for one full-time or long-term retainer role.
I’ve been researching stablecoin payments since 2023, before it became a category. I know how these businesses actually work under the hood - on-chain flows, settlement, unit economics - and how to separate real payment volume from announcements.
What I’m looking for: Investment Analyst / Head of Research at a crypto fund or stablecoin payments company. Remote only, Europe time zone.
If that fits what you’re building - DM
Looks like OUSD just entered the DeFi lending market.

NEW: Balances for Rain and Wirex stablecoin card wallets on EVM networks are now tracked on Paymentscan.
Rain wallets hold more than $112M in stablecoins across Plasma, Base, Ethereum, and others.
GEO won't convert like SEO did. Users(myself included) get the information they're looking for and never leave the chat.
So the game shifts from ranking to protecting and pricing your valuable data against scrapers. Exciting to see @Cloudflare build its monetization gateway on x402, an open protocol, over the closed marketplace path.

1/ The honest question about agentic payments today is how much of this is actually real?
We asked @Artemis to answer it with data and to strip out the wash trading and test transactions before drawing conclusions

The status line under every Claude Code prompt is the most stared at strip of terminal on earth... and you can put anything there.
So over the weekend I built claudelines.com for everyone to share + explore status lines. Here are the best I've seen so far...
Incredible things happening onchain.
There was a large spike in stablecoin volume in June. One likely culprit? An ad platform (0xC1974...) that flash loans hundreds of billions in stablecoins from lending protocols like Morpho and attaches your ad to the onchain transaction.
They've moved over $800B across Base and Ethereum this way since October, more than half a trillion in June alone.
Have to give them credit. Large transactions raise flags, and flags get people to look.
