YOU'RE BORN. YOU SEE PANTS STYLES GO FROM BAGGY TO SKINNY BACK TO BAGGY EVERY 10 YEARS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. YOU DIE. THE END
Found this tweet in my draft from a year ago, but nothing has changed because its human nature.
Every asset class starts off feeding into human greed with its shady gambling nature, and that nature would not go away, but simply transcend into another form.
> Equities got legitimzied as an asset class, but rise of SPAC and meme stocks is the embodiment of gambling nature.
> Futures & options matured to become the hedging tools for the world's largest institutions, powering our financial system. Yet that same machinery was repurposed to feed the retail hunger for instant gratification through 0DTEs.
The same will apply to crypto. Payment & DeFi will be the boring use case. Even if memecoins die, a new instrument will inevitably rise to fill the void.
The vessel changes, but the psychology is constant. We can legitimize the technology, but we cannot change human nature.
Two apps on Relay can see wildly different performance depending on how they’ve integrated. We’ve shipped a lot lately, so reach out and make sure you have access to all the latest and greatest.

Pump is bringing some of its execution infrastructure in-house. While we want to serve everyone, Relay is not a story about one app.
Relay is a platform that serves thousands of developers across wallets, payments, RWAs, prediction markets, perps, and trading, all built on the same belief: people shouldn’t have to think about which chain they’re on.
Users want one balance, instant execution, and zero friction. We’re making that the baseline for every onchain app, not just one.
On performance, Relay offers best-in-class latency, reliability and fill rates, across 100x the scale (txs), larger orders, more routes and use cases. The data is public (dune.com/relay/fomo-pump-fun…).

Electrical, plasma, jellyfish in the sky!
The most incredible image of a Sprite I’ve ever seen.
Sprites are essentially lighting that is ABOVE a thunderstorm.
Not so much rare, just VERY hard to capture or see.
They live for only a couple milliseconds.

why would i outsource my scrolling browsing shopping to instinct? thats my hobby... the satisfaction to handpick a good deal
the thought of human is the cheap alt to bot 😶
poteto's cursor profile is public. She's used 1.5T tokens in the last 30 days.
Assuming an avg rate of $8/M that's $384k/day or $11m. In the last 30 days. Per year thats $132M.
Let's assume Cursor has some insane deal with Anthropic and gets 90% off. That comes out to $38k/day or $1.1M in Sept/Oct.
$13m will get me 26 sassy staff-level all stars for $500k/yr
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Cursor profile at cursor.com/@lauren shows 1.5T tokens used. Cost estimates at $8/M do not account for prompt caching common in agent coding, where cache reads are billed at ~10% of input rates per analyses of Anthropic pricing. This results in lower effective costs.

my prediction:
personal ai agents won’t monetize through monthly subscription fees.
they’ll monetize by owning the fintech stack and earning revenue every time their users spend money.
Instinct already measures internal performance based on monthly payment volume.
to monetize this they can:
> issue their own Visa credit card
> earn 2-3% interchange on every transaction
> negotiate bulk discounts directly with merchants
> take a percentage of the savings they generate
> earn yield on balances sitting inside the ecosystem
instead of charging you $20/month to use your personal agent, the agent becomes the interface through which you spend thousands of dollars every month.
if your agent books your flights, hotels, restaurants, and everyday purchases, owning the payment layer underneath becomes far more valuable than a $20/month subscription.
the biggest personal ai companies will end up looking less like software companies and more like fintechs.
personal ai agents + fintech will eventually blend into an entirely new category:
agentic finance.
my 8 months review at @RelayProtocol (we are hiring!)
> i joined relay because it feels like an underdog. no one talks about it much on CT, but every dev every crypto app i talked to uses relay.
> in 8 months, our customer base grew so much in both crypto native and payment verticals
> become one of the top bridges by volume
> as a BD, i'm lucky to have a team i can count on and a product that just works.
> both our reputation and data references make the pitch easy and obvious
> we are hiring BD (and other roles!) to accelerate our growth
> looking for someone who can talk to institutions, fintech, payment companies, high agency, good understanding of cross-chain/relay, preferably North America timezone
