Choose the Cape chestnut, as it is an indigenous tree. It produces spectacular flowers, and its roots are less invasive and its branches less brittle than those of the jacaranda. Oh and it grows faster than Jacaranda too. – at Gikambura, Kenya

I was to plant them until I realized they get carry loads of green scales which affect almost all fruit trees. Quite an easy decision to make between fruits and a flowering tree!
