Democrats have controlled California almost unopposed for *decades* and they’re saying people want change because the state has gotten so bad
So now there are even more Democrats in the state legislature to ensure it gets even worse
California Assembly Speaker @RobertRivas_CA @CASpeakerRivas (D-Salinas) speaks on Democrats expanding their supermajorities in both chambers of the Legislature to potential historic highs.
"It's going to be historic in numbers and size."
"People want change. They are tired of being tired. We have to ensure we are delivering results."

Turns out the emotional crashout of emotionally unstable humans was more dangerous to us than superhuman intelligence all along – at Titusville, FL
Most people don’t know that the best-selling car in the world is the Tesla Model Y.
And the second and third best-selling cars are much cheaper.
Tesla Model Y has been the world’s best-selling passenger vehicle for 3 consecutive years
2023 → #1
2024 → #1
2025 → #1
Model Y alone has surpassed 4 million global sales, while Tesla has now delivered more than 10 million vehicles worldwide
Not just the best-selling EV
Model Y beat every gas, hybrid and electric passenger vehicle worldwide for three straight years
An electric car reaching this scale would have sounded impossible not long ago
Now millions of Model Ys are on roads around the world

1 year ago, @ScottAdamsSays predicted Trump would *ultimately* have the greatest presidential approval rating in history.
"The most natural arc for where this ends up is that Trump's poll numbers will continue to drop until — to borrow his language — no one's ever seen anything like it."
"He might break records for the lowest popularity of a sitting president."
"The second part of the prediction is that by the time he leaves office — but it could be maybe shortly after — he'll have the best poll numbers of any president of all time."
"But you're going to have to wait to find out if I'm right about that."
The first part of Scott's prediction already appears to be coming true.
The second part remains to be seen.
But Stephen Miller is exactly who Trump would appoint as his Chief of Staff for a historic final 2 years of accomplishments.
Never count out Trump's ability to make an epic comeback.
Scott was a legendary predictor.

People are confusing political theater and emotion with how the real world works.
The demand for super intelligence is only increasing and we don’t yet have at scale humanoid bots, self driving cars globally, AI in mfg, massive disease discovery , and even close to full AI penetration in business or personal agents scaled which will increase demand maybe millions of times where we are today.
Supply will eventually meet that demand whether it is built in the US, other foreign countries, and in space. The US controls their own destiny. We can choose to be AI sovereign, on the cutting edge, create the most amount of jobs/wealth, and be as secure as possible - making deals that greatly net benefit local communities too. We still have the opportunity to have our cake and eat it too… Or we can fall into a mob driven psyop used as a political wedge to help get one party elected. My gut tells me deals will get made.
But to be clear, the AI hyperscalers / cloud companies do not need US soil to build AI infrastructure. I think they prefer to have it in the US but these are highly resourced global companies who will go where is needed to fulfill demand. My other guess is the exec branch will start allocating significant amounts of federal land if local communities make themselves a bottleneck.
If you take one thing away from this post, just know AI infrastructure will get built to meet demand wherever in the world or universe is required. Taking the results of a midterm election in one country (that was mostly expected to be split gov outcome) and applying it to the demand/supply for super intelligence is literally absurd.
There is no fact-based argument for a reduction of data center build out due to an already expected split government midterm result or the state voting initiatives.
1. If a local/state gov doesn’t want to make a deal, the cloud/hyperscaler will move to one who will . This isn’t binary, most locals are making deals. The builds over the next 1-1.5yrs are already permitted.
2. If the US as a whole rejects enough land mass where the demand for AI factories cannot be fulfilled in the US, those AI factories will move offshore repeating the prior 3 decades of globalization and hollowing out of our middle class. It was dumb back then and even dumber now given the geopolitical national security implications of AI sovereignty…

Exactly 😂
Tesla has no government contracts and President Trump ended federal incentives for electric vehicles.
SpaceX contracts with the government are BOTH the best product AND the lowest price! Moreover government revenue will be less than 10% of SpaceX revenue this quarter and less then 5% a year from now.
Happy to cancel any that the government doesn’t want. Just say the word!

Joe Gebbia and Elon Musk brought me into OPM to modernize a federal retirement system buried under 400 million pieces of paper and decades of bureaucracy.
I spent a year working alongside career civil servants, learning their processes and systems. I quickly discovered how agencies get locked into contracts for egregiously outdated software. In order for retirement processing to be better, we needed to rebuild it from the ground up, with a system the agency could own and operate itself.
OPM Director @skupor gave us room to challenge old assumptions, make decisions, and execute.
In just a few months, we rolled out the Online Retirement Application government-wide, eliminating recurring vendor fees and giving retiring federal employees a faster, easier way to start their retirement - digitally, for the first time ever.
I trained the in-house team to maintain and operate the system themselves, and we celebrated our wins together.
And then I left. That’s how modernization should work.
There are still so many outdated systems that desperately need modernization. Yet everywhere you look, agencies are stuck with aging vendor-built software where contractors charge millions and take weeks just to change a button.
Reimagining how government works takes more than Claude subscriptions. It takes the vision to rethink old processes, the experience to build something better, and the resolve to see things through.
That’s why I’m taking what I learned at OPM and setting out to do it again across the federal government with my new company, GovMaxxing.
I’m bringing together the best talent I’ve worked with in Silicon Valley: proven builders who’ve shipped products millions of Americans use every day and can’t wait to bring that same world-class execution to government.
We have no interest in becoming another contractor collecting checks indefinitely to maintain software that should belong to the American people.
We want to come in, solve the problem, train federal employees, and equip our institutions to own their solutions, leaving them more capable long after we’re gone, with something they’re proud to stand behind.
GovMaxxing maximizes what government is capable of. And then leaves.

Interesting thought…
Actual progress comes from hard-to-build technology.
Which comes from competitive, creative, free-market capitalism.
Which comes from one small, precarious area and then diffuses to the rest of the world.
Snuff that out, and it’s global stagnation for an extremely long time.

this is my favorite collectivist conciet:
"imagine if this <insert rich person> had used their <amount of money> on this issue we have spent billions and trillions on for decades with zero positive effect. they could have solved the whole thing!"
it's such a fetching confluence of delusion and a weird faith that if you take the money of effective people and give it to the same people who have squandered every cent they have seen for decades, the money itself will somehow remain impactful as though tripling public school spending has worked to improve education.
it seems to underpin a profound misunderstanding of how to usefully allocate capital combined with an essentially animistic belief that outcome is somehow a property of the money itself and not of the allocator, like somehow musk has some sort of magically effective cash to which NGO's and government agencies are not generally privy.

Musk had two options.
Option one was negotiate with Democrats.
Option two was to develop a space program better than the state funded organizations of the rest of the world combined, then use that to launch a distributed compute cluster into earth orbit, solving a myriad of bullshit hard problems like "how do I shed heat in a vacuum" or "what happens if cosmic rays flip bits" and a thousand others even I'm not aware of.
Option two was simpler and easier. By multiple orders of magnitude.
I'm ashamed to share a country with these people.
