#PresidentsDay is the official launch of @1600Lessons. @POLITICOMag’s @MichaelSchaffer gave it a great write up in his #PresidentsDay column, describing it as “an executive-coaching series that builds its lessons around presidential leadership.” lnkd.in/gB-wNHS9
“Your book is an interesting history about government & private industry cooperation & clashes but there’s also an interesting leadership manual quality to it, & CEOs or aspiring CEOs might benefit from reading it” @JohnJMiller to @tevitroy. @CEOsandPOTUS overcast.fm/+AAFop4HzqKw

2/2 Sure enough, there I am on page 435, & particularly happy to be in a sentence that mentions #IrvingKristol, #GertrudeHimmelfarb, #ThomasSowell, & @HudsonInstitute founder #HermanKahn, and in a passage that mentions #JamesQWilson, #DanielBoorstin, & presidential leadership.

1/2 I enjoyed meeting #RichardNortonSmith at @BPC_Bipartisan’s #AnOrdinaryMan event with @AnnCompton and @SteveScully. Smith saw my bookmarked copy of the book and said, “You’re in the book.” I responded that I was indeed deep into the book. He said, “No, you’re IN the book.”

And it was great fun to discuss @1600Lessons with @TheDispatch’s @WhigNewtons. She got a huge reaction when she said the presidency has expanded because Congress has abdicated its responsibility, and responded, “You know it’s a nerdy crowd when that’s the applause line.”
