Welcome to the "independent investigation" whose convenor, the Committee for Academic Freedom, is financed by Reform UK megadonor Ben Delo - who backed two neo-Nazi conspiracy theorists' failed libel suit against a Jewish artist and whose "sanctuary" hosted a reconstituted Nazi eugenics front (which attacked Jason Arday, which this 'panel' is going to 'investigate'). Are you going to investigate yourselves? bylinetimes.com/2026/10/21/j…
I'm pleased to be on the advisory panel of the independent investigation into Dr Jason Arday’s appointment at Cambridge. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence. If you have relevant information, you can provide it here, anonymously if preferred. ardayinvestigation.net/panel…

Tommy Robinson has been found guilty - it is my view that the system has, again, treated him unfairly. We live in dark times.

The richest man in the world has so far spent over £400,000 on Tommy Robinson’s legal fees. He’s obviously an asset. That’s why he appeared in the Epstein files, with Steve Bannon telling Jeffrey Epstein that Tommy Robinson was “cheap @ any price”.

I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud. The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede. In this scenario, the goal isn’t to prove fraud. It’s to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Trump is the most dangerous president in our history. He's an authoritarian who does not believe in the rule of law. This election is not about Ds vs. Rs. It's about whether we maintain a rubber-stamp GOP Congress that aids and abets Trump — or finally hold him accountable.

I had the first PMQ today so sat in the chamber for an hour beforehand. I didn’t even see him turn up. Sounds a lot like a porky pie. 🤣
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage says he didn't attend the Budget in Parliament to "avoid a physical altercation" "Given my prayer card [to reserve a seat] was removed, I was heading towards another physical altercation... being a quiet, shy and modest person, I decided against it"

It's a very rare occurrence that Farage attends the Commons. When there's a major event like the budget, he has to lie to explain his absence. As he lies every day, as a matter of course.

Badenoch has forgotten that Thatcher sold off the family silver, Cameron ruined public services with austerity, Johnson ruined the economy for a generation with his Brexit deal. Then he pissed £billions up the wall with dodgy Covid loans and PPE contracts. Then we had Mad Lizzy!

I was sat in front of Reform today. One of their team was asked by the Chief Whip if they’d give up their seat for Nigel, which they agreed to. But Nigel didn’t bother turning up….
Excl: Nigel Farage did not attend the Budget speech in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed from the green benches, Reform sources have claimed The Reform UK leader's team say his prayer card was moved after being placed this morning so he watched the speech with his policy & comms aides instead

I'm very clear that this is a comment on the industry and not the journalist. I have no idea about the merits or not of his investigation because what most people don't seem to realise is that @timeshighered never published it. It may be a first to be nominated for a prize for a story that never ran. But the issue I'm raising is the optics of a ballroom full of pissed-up journalists celebrating the gotcha of a man who took his own life.
Not a single news outlet has reviewed its coverage of Jason Arday, for accuracy or proportionality. Zero attempt has been made to conduct any inquiry into the media’s role in his death. Instead, the industry has moved into self-congratulatory mode. This isn’t just tone deaf, it betrays a systemic failure

Fake news. I was 2nd in the MPs’ queue from 7.30am this morning (behind Des Swayne) for a prayer card to reserve a seat and there was no sign of Farage then. I didn’t see him come to prayers at 11.30am to come and claim a seat then either. You snooze, you lose.
Nigel Farage was unable to attend the Budget in the Commons because his seat reservation was removed, The Telegraph understands. The Reform UK leader’s prayer card — a green slip of paper that backbench MPs put on a spot on the green benches to reserve their seat — was moved after it was placed this morning. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/business/202…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Farage's prayer card lacked a valid date stamp and was removed per House of Commons protocol. MPs confirm seats were available unreserved and he did not attend prayers to secure one. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/… x.com/hope_sapphire/…

Kemi spent most of her response attacking the Tory welfare record. A reminder that under their watch: Neets up 250k between 2021 and 2024; Welfare spending rose twice as fast as in this Parliament; Millions signed off and written off on sickness and disability benefits.
