Natürlich sind wir über wesentliche Punkte nicht einig geworden. Mir war es wichtig, klarzumachen, dass Deutschland derartige Dinge wie den Drohnenangriff in Leipzig nicht akzeptiert. Dass das eine Eskalation ist, die nicht akzeptabel ist. Und ich habe Russland klar gewarnt, nicht so weiterzumachen. Wir können uns verteidigen, wir können uns wehren, das werden wir auch tun.

Wadephul trifft Lawrow für Gespräch in New York
Bundesaußenminister Johann Wadephul hat sich in New York mit seinem russischen Kollegen Sergej Lawrow getroffen. Das erste bilaterale Treffen der Außenminister der beiden Länder seit Jahren fand am Rande der UN-Generaldebatte statt.
Was dabei herausgekommen ist, ist noch nicht bekannt.

Auch die russische Meldung bestätigt bisher lediglich das Treffen und ausdrücklich, dass über den Inhalt noch nichts bekanntgegeben wurde.
Das macht die Sache allerdings besonders interessant: Erst vor wenigen Tagen hatte Wadephul im UN-Sicherheitsrat Russland scharf angegriffen und von einer neuen Stufe russischer hybrider Angriffe gegen Europa gesprochen
