The NDCs flip flopping on the Obuasi SHTS is a betrayal of the victims whose courage in speaking to Manasseh's investigation made this conversation possible in the first place. Those women spoke. They allowed their experiences to be documented and broadcast to the nation.
They trusted that their testimony would produce consequences, that the weight of their collective experience would be sufficient to move the institutions around them to act with the seriousness the situation demanded.
The NDC's reversal tells them that the weight of their testimony is less than the weight of one man's political ambitions and whatever internal party calculations produced the about-face between Sunday evening and Monday evening.
