Bioware employees losing their jobs is a good thing and I'm tired of pretending it isn't. The AAAA industry is shrinking but deserves to disappear.

What really burns me the most is that while many of us were running Combat Operations in good faith (while laying our lives on the line), these people were spending 20 years in Washinton D.C. (during the same period) pulling the rug out from under everything that America stood for.
It makes me wonder how many Americans lost their lives overseas because these people were playing games inside our governement.

This is what every leftist feels by the way. It's why communist judges gives slaps on the wrist for murder but will give you 20 years for a mean post in the UK. They view you as irredeemable for not believing what they believe.

I've been designing content for RPGs since 1973 starting with the birth of D&D. During my run I created a new system that, back then, could not be implemented in print or on a computer, that is, when computers finally arrived on the scene. These game-system projects sat shelved, 3 of them, until AI arrived. Then, less than a year ago, I queried GROK over 2 days, back and forth, with me describing the system's parameters. I saved that 5,000 word exchange between us. In the end GROK agreed with me that the system used in my three game treatments could only be implemented through AI. GROK also noted that the system had not been implemented to date by anyone.
The anti-AI crowd is not stopping my progress at finally realizing this break-through systems birth. I've been waiting for this one-time mad experiment that I papered to finally come to fruition. It's a "game" changer, and I mean that both literally and figuratively.

Xbox Exec DELETES Account After Saying the Quiet Part OUT LOUD!
ift.tt/8Cs1q7S
An Xbox marketing exec named Brandon Stirrup said that everybody is using AI in games development now, and if they say otherwise -- they're lying. And that the future is AI, and you WILL use those tools and get left behind. This causes activists to go into full meltdown mode, and the guy winds up deleting his account. But is he wrong? Probably not... Watch the podcast episodes on YouTube and all major podcast hosts including Spotify. The core of transgender mental illness is cluster B psychopathology. Lies, threats, and bullying are the the behavioral phenotype. In severe cases, you end up with violent antisociality.
Watch this. Trans violence is rising and mutating. There are many leftists who don’t identify as trans but have been conditioned to carry out attacks, including on women, in the name of stopping “trans genocide.” They believe you are a genocidair if you don’t accept their political demands, lies, or access to female spaces. They believe you are fair game to be killed.

They wouldn't even use different pronouns because their language doesn't have gendered pronouns. We're listening to the omnitool translation, which would also be different in Finnish or Japanese. In gendered languages we use feminine for Asari because they are biologically female
Ding Harman retweeted
Literally, and I mean literally, no Asari in all four Mass Effect games use anything other than female pronouns.
You can argue that Liara says that Asari have no concept of gender, ergo are not "female" in the strictest sense...
...THEN WHY WOULD THEY BE MALE AS WELL!?

Debunking nearly every left-wing counterargument and straw man in the gaming culture war:
"Games were always political!" - Everyone understands the difference between telling a fictional political story, and politicization. Political stories created for the purpose of entertainment are great. Doing veiled gender propaganda is just subversive, obnoxious, and annoying. It also muddies the waters and damages the quality of games/the hobby at large.
"Why aren't the chuds making their own games?!" -
Nearly every single successful video game IP that has EVER been created in the west, was originally developed by "the chuds." Aka overwhelmingly straight white nerds and dudebros. You're seeing less of that today because leftists brought DEI to the industry, allowing them to subvert merit and actually get jobs. Then they refuse to hire anyone who isn't also a leftist. Hence why all the beloved IPs keep getting coopted then destroyed.
"You just hate diversity!" - Diversity has been a thing in video games since their inception. You'd know that if you weren't a tourist. It was never a problem. We hate *manufactured* / inauthentic diversity that breeds caricatures, rather than characters born from a genuine creative vision.
"You just think gay/trans = woke!" - See above. No we don't. Though there's a lot less tolerance for gay shit in the industry now because there's an overt agenda to force 100x more of it into everything, regardless of whether it fits. Literally shit like the "ExecuPride LGBTQ+ Ratings System" that scores companies from 0-7 for their "queer inclusion."
"You just hate women who weren't created to appeal to you!" - Uh yeah, no shit. We also hate men who weren't created to appeal to us. When you make a video game you should aim to appeal to your audience. Men and women have different preferences for what we think is "cool" or "appealing," depending on the gender of the characters. A baddie who is also cool and exiting is going to be 100x more interesting to a dude than some mopey turbodyke who "misses mah gurl" and is always sad about her problems.
"That's misogyny/objectification!" - No it isn't, you don't know what those words mean. We're discussing fictional characters not real women. If I refused to engage with a real woman because she's ugly, that would be misogyny/sexism/objectification. If I refuse to play a video game or dislike a female fictional character because she's ugly, that's just me having preferences and standards for fiction like a normal person.
"So you just want oversexualized DOLLS who you can goon to??" - People will genuinely come on here and say, "everything around me has to be objectively ugly, covered and modest, or I will compulsively masturbate." Sorry but you're projecting. We're discussing appeal/preferences in a video game, not masturbation.
"Video games don't revolve around you!" - Uh, as a straight male, they kind of do. We are the overwhelming majority of the gaming audience, aka the paying consumers keeping the lights on. And I can guarantee you I speak for the majority, even if many of them don't understand the culture war or even realize it.
"50% of gamers are women, actually!" - Sure, if you consider playing a fucking Match5 mobile phone game for 45 minutes once a week or less to be enough to constitute "being a gamer." Men outnumber women in console/PC gaming/handheld gaming, and when you look at who games at least 5+ hours per week (again, not mobile), it's not even close. As you increase the hours from 5, the gap grows much wider. Gamers are still overwhelmingly men. Women are still overwhelmingly more on the casual side.
"It makes no sense for women to wear makeup in combat roles! We just want realism!" -
No you don't. The realism nonsense is an excuse. If you wanted realism, women would barely be in combat roles. Also, sorry to burst your bubble but a 280lbs of solid muscle turbodyke leading a squad of Gears is not "more realistic" than a woman making herself look more presentable in public.
What you "want" is to blur the lines between men and women. You believe the way women are portrayed in games "creates harmful standards." You also believe femininity was manufactured by "the patriarchy." You want to subvert and deny "the male gaze" while making troons feel better.
Most women who are *actually gamers* don't want this, btw. You took it upon yourselves to change the way women are portrayed, when women were already happy with this overwhelmingly. If you're skeptical look at the most cosplayed characters. Look at the characters girl-gamers are buying merch for. Ask them their favorite character - it's VASLTY more likely to be Lara Croft, or Jill Valentine, or Tifa, etc. than it is to be Mags fucking Carter, lol.
"X franchise, series, or IP was always like... super gay and woke!" - Shut the fuck up, no it wasn't. You guys always do this weird revisionist shit. Dragon Age: Origins, for example, was one of the most chud games to ever chud. A straight male-centric power fantasy from top to bottom. 1 optional gay romance and 1 gender ambiguous character with 10 minutes of screentime doesn't negate this.
"Get woke go broke is a myth!" - It's exaggerated, but not really. There are exceptions to every rule (ex: Spider-Man, enjoyed by kids and normies everywhere). Nearly every woke game sells less than they otherwise would if they weren't woke. Usually massively - for example selling half or a quarter as much as previous (not woke) franchise entries. And that's setting aside the rapidly growing, insane number of once beloved studios that started doing woke shit, only to completely fucking implode, get hit with mass layoffs, closures, disastrous sales, humiliating game launches, etc. You idiots also have the foresight of a peanut so you don't understand the severity of long term reputational damage.

Key difference between BG3 and Veilguard:
Baldur's Gate let your character believe whatever and act however, even to the detriment of the companions and their beliefs.
In Veilguard, your character could not give serious offense to anyone who wasn't a villain. It wasn't allowed.
The former is game design centered on player choice, the latter is — transparently — the writers' ethics forced onto the player character's personality. That's the activism people hated.
