Left wing leaders all over the world have congratulated Lula on his win over the Bolsonaro's, Trump, Israel and the fascist big tech billionaires. Silence from Andy Burnham.

What most people already understand, even without the economic terminology, is that firms like BlackRock operate less like investors and more like modern feudal landlords. These vultures buy essential infrastructure, water networks, ports, energy grids, data centres, and other public necessities, often using vast amounts of borrowed money and paying prices that ordinary market participants cannot match. Once the acquisition is complete, the debt is pushed onto the acquired company itself. The result is simple: the public start paying. Consumers repay that debt through higher water bills, rising energy prices, increased fees, and declining service quality. The infrastructure becomes a real cash-extraction machine. Profits flow upward to the shareholders and executives, while the financial burden flows downward to ordinary households. When the model inevitably breaks down, the consequences are socialised. Communities are left with crumbling infrastructure, polluted rivers, and failing services. Thames Water in the United Kingdom with a £14 billion debt mountain and repeated sewage scandals is a stark example of what happens when financial engineering takes precedence over public stewardship. The executives who loaded the company with debt have already collected their bonuses. The investors have already taken their returns. And when the system finally reaches breaking point, taxpayers are expected to pick up the bill. 🔴Privatise the gains. 🔴Socialise the losses. That is the business model........
Not a single new water reservoir has been built since Water Privatisation in 1989, despite UK population growing from 57 million to 69.5 million. Failed state. Westminster betrays its citizens to enrich unaccountable offshore private equity.

Used La Liga stats to award Lamine Yamal best young player of the year over Pau Cubarsí Used the World Cup stats to award the Yasin Trophy to Unai Simon over David Raya. Used Bundesliga stats to award Ballon D’or to Harry Kane over Mbappé. Used Champions League stats to award club of the year. Use World Cup to award manager of the year. Ballon d’or in a nutshell. Zero consistency.

Unai Simon won the Yachine Trophy because he faced 5 shots in 8 games. He literally conceded 50 plus league goals, the game is GONE.

Just Rishi Sunak earning £6265/ hour advising Goldman Sachs and £7729/hour consulting to Microsoft... while sitting as a backbench MP. The median UK salary is £41k/year. Sunak earns that in just over five hours consulting for Microsoft. What service is he providing, exactly?
My focus is normally Labour MPs, but look at this. Rishi Sunak earns £2.2 million from his side jobs with Anthropic, Microsoft and Goldman Sachs while still being an MP. 💰💰💰

Random Fact: Ghana’s maiden privately owned indigenous bank, Continental Acceptance Limited - now Calbank PLC - had its operations set up by a Zimbabwean. William Nyemba worked on setting up Continental Acceptances Ghana Limited from 1989 to 1992. Nyemba set up the bank operational groundwork and left it after launch in the hands of Afare Donkor. Nyemba returned to Zimbabwe and became the inaugural CEO of NMB, then one of Zimbabwe’s indigenous merchant banks.
Random Fact: The first ever mobile GSM network in Nigeria was set up by Zimbabweans in 2001. It was called Econet Wireless Nigeria. The CEO was Zachary Wazara. The first mobile GSM call in Nigeria was made by a Zimbabwean, Strive Masiyiwa, then Econet CEO on 6 May 2001. MTN Nigeria trailed Econet / Strive Masiyiwa, only making its first GSM call on 16 May 2001. The network that Econet set up was corruptly sold to Vodacom and renamed VMobile. (Vee Networks) in 2004 after a shareholder fight. VMobile was then sold to Celtel in 2006. It became Zain in a year later and is now known as Airtel Nigeria.

“The World Health Organization” now states on its website: “COVID-19 vaccination can cause multiple sclerosis due to cross-reactive CD4+ T cells that recognize the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 and myelin peptides.” In other words, your own immune system destroys the nerve pathways and then attacks your brain and spinal cord. This data was available during the lockdowns but was labeled as a “conspiracy theory” and censored by social media.

🗣️ Petr Čech on the Ballon d’Or organisers naming Unai Simón Goalkeeper of the Year over David Raya: “I honestly can't believe what the Ballon d'Or has become. Is this a football awards ceremony or a FIFA World Cup winners' celebration? Are we really judging an entire season by a seven-game tournament? It's embarrassing. David Raya has won THREE consecutive Premier League Golden Gloves, kept 19 clean sheets in the league and nine more in the Champions League. Yet somehow, that's not enough to make him the best goalkeeper of the year? Unai Simón deserves credit for his World Cup performances, but individual awards should recognise consistency across an entire season, not just international tournament success. Raya has proved himself week after week at the highest level. If we're going to ignore that kind of consistency because another goalkeeper won the World Cup, then what exactly are these awards meant to recognise? The Ballon d'Or organisers need to explain their criteria because decisions like this make a mockery of the entire process. #BallonDor

Unai Simon has won the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2026. He beat his compatriot, David Raya, to the prize thanks to his efforts with Spain at the World Cup. But Simon made a total of nine saves in eight games, which — as a body of work — surely does not outshine Raya's season for Arsenal. 📝 @SebSB Follow the rest of the Ballon d'Or live: nyti.ms/4dTOSRe

I never let go of the Egyptian planes. Always knew they were a piece of the Charlie Kirk assasination. They completely overreacted when I mentioned them and Erika made such an awkward joke about them at AmFest when she should have been naturally concerned about them. Plus Joe Kent was blocked from looking into them. Never once doubted they were/are a major piece of the puzzle.
So apparently the owner of the Egyptian plane now sits on the board of peace with Jared Kushner Two days ago, Vanity Fair alleged Jared Kushner paid a hitman from a secret bank account holding $billions

Steve Bell was sacked by The Guardian over this cartoon of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Just in: IPSO has refused to investigate the Telegraph cartoon of Mothin Ali, the Green Party's Muslim deputy leader, grinning over a knife and fork at the severed head of Zack Polanski, its Jewish leader, who is drawn with a hooked nose. Nearly 1,200 of you complained. IPSO's reason: the cartoon is about two individuals, so only Mothin and Zack can complain. How racist the drawing is doesn't come into it. IPSO did not have to do this, and it has done the opposite before. IPSO's rules let it take up a complaint from people other than the person written about, when the breach is significant, and there is a substantial public interest in looking at it. In July 2023 it used that power. It ruled that Jeremy Clarkson's Sun column about the Duchess of Sussex was sexist, after complaints from two women's charities, the Fawcett Society and the WILDE Foundation. The Duchess did not complain. The Telegraph's editor, Chris Evans, chairs the committee that writes the Editors' Code, which is the rulebook IPSO enforces. The Telegraph is still selling prints of the cartoon today. IPSO's rule says it may take up a complaint like this, not that it must. So this was a choice. Picture a school. One boy draws two classmates, a Muslim boy and a Jewish boy. He gives the Jewish boy a hooked nose and puts his head on a plate, and draws the Muslim boy about to eat it. He pins the picture to the noticeboard and sells copies at the gate. A thousand pupils go to the head teacher. She tells them she can only act if the two boys in the picture come to her themselves. So the picture stays on the board, and every Muslim and Jewish child in the school walks past it each morning. The boy who drew it learns he can do it again. And the rulebook the head teacher is reading from was written by a committee his dad chairs. Nobody would say that head teacher is protecting the children. She is protecting the boy who drew it. That is what IPSO has done. It says it regulates the Telegraph, and it has just told nearly 1,200 people that a racist cartoon in a paper it regulates is not its business unless the two men drawn in it come and ask.
