After Republicans took control of Congress, Barack Obama continued governing through executive actions and presidential vetoes. During his presidency, Obama vetoed 12 bills. Congress successfully overrode only one. Trump retains those same constitutional powers. Overriding a presidential veto requires a two-thirds vote in both chambers. Losing Congress doesn’t mean losing the presidency. Question everything. Then question everything again.
