I didn't particularly care for the album but since we're here rakim gets A1 respect for changing the game but BDK has a better flow more timeless imo but I have LL over them both for that time period.... LL Cool J is equivalent to Superman or Batman for me

I never ever thought about what “The 18th Letter” sold, I’m sure his label did, but as a fan I appreciated the album cause it allowed me to connect with Rakim in a way that I didn’t fully get the chance to when I was younger.
