Soon 100. A milestone. But want honesty? Not all are actively using it. So currently thinking if I should try to activate some of them. Figure out if there were issues. Or accept those people just wanted to see how it looks inside.

Good progress to share my friends. Honestly, I didnΒ΄t know how I feel. I was even a bit eager to see this happening. My product Fiidbakk has made it. Someone really got inspired by it. Actually there are 2 companies now. Company A has a similar idea but a unique value. And they took more or less inspiration from the idea. And oh boy they have good design so that made me a bit anxious. Now company B that I saw today in Reddit. This made me feel like a Gladiator. No not that I want to hurt them. I felt like a win. We have 0 paying customers so I canΒ΄t compare it. But I can tell you something. It feels good. It feels like validation. Someone believes the idea so much that they want to build it. And they think our hero looks good. So good that we look like twin brothers. Just I think mine still is the handsome one. I know now you say marketing matters. But guys you donΒ΄t know how relentless I am. Hope that my co-founder has the same patience. However when we take time to build something good. Porsches will come home slowly but they will come. Enjoy building πŸš€

Hey @PaddleHQ, just curious - does domain approval usually take this long?

Started building fiidbakk.com thinking, β€˜How hard can taking site screenshots via a widget be?’ πŸ€” Turns out, not easy at all. After many iterations, it finally feels solid. πŸ’ͺ

Do you want to see small snippet-sized open-ended thoughts about building a product in public? Designing for yourself is hard. I was pretty confident that I created the best navigation menu for Fiidbakk. A hamburger. Why? What did I think? People donΒ΄t like hamburgers everyone says. - I wanted to keep the UI focused. Simple. Content is king. - My thinking was that this menu is secondary. - Widgets are not created often. - And F-icon will send people to View Feedback view also as the home screen in v0.0.1 I was wrong. Or more precisely I was ahead of time. Nav menu will be redone. Hamburger will be removed and I will add a horizontal nav. At one point it might go back inside the hamburger. What makes ui/ux design work hard is that you have multiple ways to solve something. You ask one person. Another. Often you end up with various opinions and preferences. It doesnΒ΄t mean that users wonΒ΄t understand or use something else. So why did I decide to keep the menu items always visible? - Our initial product has just a fraction of planed functionality. So the UI and content is not that complicated. - Even if we add visual weight its probably clearer for users to find widgets and to see available functionality. - Secondary nav (billing, users etc.) will be hidden. 2 hidden menus is no bueno. It might be a small detail. Does it make or break the product? Probably not. But it matters to me that I do something that I can truly believe offers a decent user experience. Do you want to see more such longer posts circling around single components or small parts of the product design? Yes. New version is already designed. But this time I donΒ΄t show it. You have to wait until Fiidbakk launches and you can test it yourself. Happy weekend. Happy building. Happily hear your thoughts and comments.

Here is the tech stack for my new project: Java, Spring Framework, MongoDB, Cloudflare Angular, Tailwind. Haven’t seen some of these commonly here on X. What’s your idea of the perfect tech stack? πŸ€”
