Saddened to hear the passing of Tom Siddon, who was Richmond’s MP from 1978 to 1993 and as an Alderman of Richmond before that.
Condolences to his family and all who knew him. He was a long-time voice for our community in Ottawa.

The Canadian United Against Modern Exclusion (CUMAE) cumae.ca was formed recently by Senator YP Woo. It is an important initiative that required our attention. I have posted an article in Substack to hopefully inspire more discussion. lnkd.in/gb4sN8Q3

It is an honour to be recognized by Mayor Ken Sim in such a manner. Thank you, your Worship!
Congratulations to Tung Chan (@28WPender) on receiving the King Charles III Coronation Medal!
As a retired Honorary Captain of the Royal Canadian Navy and former CEO of @SUCCESSCanada, this well-earned honour is a testament to his life-long commitment to promoting inclusivity and community service. Vancouver is proud to celebrate this milestone with you, Tung.
Can anyone explain why a child born to a French man and an Indigenous woman is classified as Metis, whereas a child born to a Chinese man and an Indigenous woman does not receive the same recognition?
On this day in 1885, Metis leader Louis Riel was put to death in Regina.
Riel led his people in two resistance movements to protect their culture and defend Metis rights.
Let's learn more (a condensed version) about The Father of Manitoba.

ALT The image depicts a black and white photograph of a man from the 19th century. He has dark, wavy hair and a mustache, and is wearing a high-collared shirt with a buttoned jacket over it. The photograph has a vintage, historical appearance, suggesting it might be from the mid to late 1800s.

Karen Kirkpatrick, I am grateful for your kind words and unwavering endorsement. Your commitment to centrist principles has inspired a wave of independent candidates to champion the interests of their constituents. United, we offer a pragmatic alternative for voters seeking a centrist voice that resonates with moderation. Together, we will thrive come October 19 . #bcpoli #RichmondCentre
Stepping into Christ Church Cathedral for Rick Cluff's Celebration of Life was a moving experience. Tears and laughter filled the air as we remembered a man who made the world brighter with his spirit. #RestInPeace #CelebrationOfLife 🕊️💔@CBCEarlyEdition
A special tribute to a retiring Senator who has tirelessly promoted the Canadian interest in Asia. I first met him in former PM Harper’s ice breaker trip to the PRC in 2009. Happy retirement, Senator Oh. youtu.be/LBotvfVDLIo?si=72B1…

It was not the system that convicted Donald Trump, but rather 12 jurors, with 11 of them being accepted by his defense lawyer. The jurors carefully considered the evidence presented to them under strict evidence rules & applied the law as instructed by the presiding judge #Trump
Judge Merchan's instructions to the jury exemplify his fairness and impartiality and I encourage you to read it in its entirety.
